Yeah I'm sure the bonus is covered regardless.
However, wonder what this best offer is. Strange out of the lot for VDV and Mo to hold his nerve too, the market presumably isn't great and we pay great wages/bonuses. We been so good previously of getting contracts done ASAP (apart Mo's last one) without any issues. Trent is a different kettle of fish though...

The bonuses would be due to them regardless. Any bonuses for trophies are usually paid following the end of the season (which is usually in May). Anyone still with the club would have their last pay date either on 30 June or the pay date immediately afterwards, so they'd still get their bonuses as they would fall due before they leave the club.
The contract will be drafted so that any and all bonuses due are payable before it expires.
If a player leaves the club, he may forfeit so-called "loyalty" bonuses as they usually stipulate that he has to be at the club on a particular date (usually after the end of a transfer window) in order to get the bonus.
Signing on fees are payable regardless, even if they fall due if the player has left the club, which is why they are increasingly rare.

It could be the agents scurrying round to see what is out there. It’s a strange time. Money doesn’t seem to be increasing at a massive rate from broadcasters anymore and there has to be a commercial ceiling. It’s also about who would they move to? I doubt any of them would move to an English side. Real are all in on Trent. PSG just spunked a load of cash on that lad from Napoli. There’s really no one else for them.

Yeah I was just speculating, I'm sure the agents would have had that loop covered by standard especially when our package is probably weighted quiet a bit wages. Whole thing is weird, we are so good normally with security and wages. Surely they can't have many offers matching ours typically even factoring sign on fees.
 
All 3 are pissing me off now. All this shit off the pitch talk is constant. When you analyze it, FSG if they leave the recruitement to their data scientists I am more than willing to trust them to build the team again even if these 3 leave. Fuck em.

Its out of our hands... I know when a player contract is being negotiated you are paying for at least two people, ie the player and his agent and their could also be other 3rd parties like dad, uncle, auntie, brother or best mate etc...
My big issue was/is the club being "relaxed" about it and not prioritising this say in December 23. Fat George was still an employee and he could have started the ball rolling then...
As fans we only have forums like this to express opinion which have no real world meaning

Oh FFS. Do you know what Woods' deal is? Will any club in the world take him on a free given the chance ? Do you know what is on the table for Mo.? The answer is No to all of those so just why the fuck do you keep coming out with this stuff?

Yep - I think there will be a huge difference in what C.Wood will be getting compared to what Salah wants and could also get elsewhere. of that have no doubt.
 
Chris Wood is probably the highest paid (sports) player in New Zealand history. I remember when we signed harry kewell, it was all over aussie news, he was getting £60k a week back then, was huge news.
 
Richard’s must wake up in a cold sweat, slowly reaching over to his nightstand. Worried to check his phone knowing another deal or extension has been completed somewhere else. The realization that signings and deals can actually be done if you do your job properly.

Nah, I bet Steven Adams earns triple what Wood earns. The Houston Rockets sure don't pay badly.
 
Any progress on any transfers yet with either 3? We will be an €900m revenue entity when the Adidas deal kicks along with the new deal kicking in and matchday receipts. Just sign VVD and salah up on extension already

Yes - Hughes has been pricing reams of paper for printing contracts and pens for signing them from various online suppliers in case we need them.

I only saw the first half live and second half in highlights. If I had just gathered what I needed from this forum then would have thought Salah's goal was a tap in and Szbo was horrible. Salah's 2nd was sensational finish, he is really getting those far post curlers on target now and Szbo seemed to be off attacking wise but was incessant in his pressing and nipping away at their attackers. We seemed to be in control most part but they played well and have beaten big teams due to that. Was Trent that bad second half? in first half thought he was very good at keeping the attack and progressing down the right especially.

That's hyperbole. Find me a post where someone downplayed salahs finish. You won't. Szob got criticism because he kept breaking down attacks...as you've alluded to. No one really questioned his work rate

The Trent discussion I don't entirely get though. Attacking wise he didn't do...anything really. Though that could be down to the fact a lot of his attacking "help" was szob. You're completely ignoring his abandonment of defensive duties, which is where a wealth of the criticism is coming from.

Just seems like you're ignoring the valid criticisms of players, just to moan about the site, and I don't get that.

We did well yesterday in a difficult game; that doesn't mean every perfect was 10/10 in attack and defence

Trent was abysmal. I think Dreamy's ratings in the Post match thread covered everyone quite well.
