Trent, Salah and VVD

Tbh I think mo and Virgil are signed and done, the club wants to do a big trio of sign ups though, so everyone's been told to stfu. Mo, loving being loved, possibly has used this opportunity to whip up a bit of "oh no contracts been sent yet", so that he can come out with some "the second they offered it I signed it" kind of bollocks.

Reckon by the end of Jan of Trent hasn't signed, they'll do an announcement of the 2, possibly with a "X to join in the summer" style bollocks.

So its gone from Salah signing a two year extension to salah saying "This is my last year at the club" according to press. Bipolar, much?

Obv can't tell you who told me it looked all good for Salah and VVD but he's definitely in the know and wouldn't have said if he didn't believe it. Entirely poss he's only heard from the LFC side of the deal and what they expect to happen based on current convos but I doubt Salah's people aren't close to agreeing something despite what's being said in public by him.

Probably bullshit but..............................

Liverpool have offered Trent Alexander-Arnold a huge £78 million five year contract to try and keep the England defender out of the clutches of Real Madrid.
There’s a similar £300,000 a week deal on the Bernabeu table for the 26-year-old but in addition he could expect a huge signing on fee from the Spanish giants if he joins in the summer as a free agent.
It’s all left the player in a dilemma, torn between remaining at his home town club with the chance of further establishing himself as a Kop idol or becoming a Galactico capture for arguably the biggest club in world football.

Liverpool feel they can’t do anymore to try and entice Alexander-Arnold to remain at Anfield for the prime years of an already sparkling career on Merseyside.
There have been no demands from Alexander-Arnold to be handed the captaincy. He knows he is the natural successor to Virgil van Dijk when the Dutchman’s time as a regular first teamer comes to an end.
As reported Real Madrid would love to sign him now and are prepared to invest £20 million even though TAA becomes a Bosman free in the summer.

Trent probably needs to make a statement about his future as soon as possible.
His head was all over the place today and he was a liability. Cant have this hanging over us when we have a quad to win.

I'm done. What's the point in persisting with him? He's sensational going forward at times but he's also a fucking liability if he's not 100% focused. We cannot accommodate that at the highest level. He's already cost us a CL, I don't want him coating us a league

Just sell him. Fuck it. We should already have a shortlist of replacements in mind (as relying solely on Bradley is fucking dumb), so test the resolve of a club

As a defender, you have to love defending.
In an interview Gravenberch was asked about his new role, playing further back on the pitch. This is what he said:

Back in the days when I played with Ajax in the youth [team] I didn't like to defend! I didn't like that much. But now when you take off the ball from another player it's like, 'Yes, I have it!' I want to take the next one and the next one again. I enjoy it.

My point is that Trent just doesn't enjoy defending any more. A while back I mentioned that I watched a compilation on YouTube of Trent in his early days at the club and it was like night and day.

Trent back in the day was shite positionally and weak, but he at least fucking tried. Now we don't even get that

He was getting loads on the bench after he was subbed. He looked very uncomfortable.
Not good for anyone, so just get it sorted one way or the other.
Well either you down tools or you use it as fuel.
I'm thinking that he's going for the first option.

I don't care if he makes a statement about his future. I'd prefer if he made a statement on the pitch with his play instead of leaving a massive turd.
