The way our nessy described that match made it sound like a special needs sport

You can bounce it kick it, hold it, run with it, head it. You can score above or below the crossbar. You hurt whoever has the ball

So yeah

Special needs

The Duckworth Lewis Method - a concept album about cricket. Until the Gaa achieves THAT, it's a poor second!

Anyone any idea who is captaining England? Roy is outdoing himself with this one.

Ashley Cole is going to be the captain in honour of his 100th appearance for England.

But Roy says Rio Ferdinand will speak to the Press after the match because Ashley is too shy.

I have to say in Cole's favour that he has been one of the most consistent performers in an England shirt.

Rio Ferdinand? This gets more complex by the minute

Apparently it's Frank Lampard that is going to speak to the media, not Ferdinand.

However, the situation is confused because David Bernstein has told the Press that there is no way that such a disrespectful individual would be allowed to be the captain!

I think we will just have to see what happens.

I completely agree with Ashley Cole's verdict on the FA as per his tweet.

Of course, the old joke goes that when the Irish sailed over to Liverpool, the clever ones disembarked and then boarded another ship and sailed to New York, while the thick ones disembarked and cried, 'At last: New York!' That was my family, so I've split loyalties tonight!

Unless they've changed the rule but I remember lads heading the ball playing Gaelic in school and the manager shouting at them for not catching it.
