BTW Team USA beat this German side:

Goalkeepers: Rene Adler (Hamburg), Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover), Marc Andre ter-Stegen (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Defenders: Dennis Aogo, Benedikt Höwedes, Marcell Jansen (all Hamburg), Andreas Beck (Hoffenheim), Per Mertesacker (Arsenal), Philipp Wollscheid (Bayer Leverkusen).
Midfielders: Lars Bender, Andre Schürrle, Sidney Sam, Stefan Reinartz (Leverkusen), Sven Bender, Kevin Großkreutz (Both Dortmund), Aaron Hunt (Werder Bremen), Nicolai Müller (Mainz), Roman Neustädter (Schalke), Lukas Podolski (Arsenal), Max Kruse

Forwards: Miroslav Klose (Lazio)

Takes away some of the shine.

They've got some great names there and they're finally living up to the hype. Seem to be steam rolling every team they play.
Still, are they strong enough to beat Germany and Spain when it matters?

It's a fair question and I suspect the answer is "not yet" but it wouldn't be impossible, especially against Spain. some of whose players may just have passed their best by now.
