Saw some of the highlights of yesterday's game and he looks as though he is coming on leaps and bounds. With the shortage of strikers and his past record surely he should be leading the line whilst Benteke and Sturridge are out?

Looking at what the boss has said, I don't think he's ever likely to be played up top by himself or a partnership. But yeah, he's looking good, and hopefully he can start to add some end product to his game over the next few weeks when the strikers come back.

Humble chap too. There's a clip of him looking flattered almost handing back the Man of the Match champagne awarded to him.

He'll be ace. Klopp will get the best out of him. As Andy said, reminded me a bit of Suarez actually.
That nutmeg in the first half aswell. Christ.

Yeah, he's starting to enjoy himself and I think he's gonna love it under Klopp.

Didn't see the game but good to hear he impressed as he has been very meh so far considering what we paid and that Youtube video 🙂

He hasn't had a proper chance till now. Rodgers barely played him, and stuck him out wide on the rare occasions he got a run out.
We only have one central midfielder who looks good wide (Milner), which considering our lack of width & depth of central midfielders, is unfortunate.

Fucking predictable though, & an indictment of how little forward planning has been used when buying players.

I'll be disappointed if Firmino doesn't get the start on Saturday.

I suspect the fact that he played 80 minutes on Wednesday and Coutinho was rested, means that he wont start
I'm fairly sure you're right, but I'd take a slightly tired on form player over a rested out of form one.

The positive is he should get a run out second half against tired legs, of course, but I'd like to think we could get that lot on the ropes starting quickly & scoring early instead.
