I don't really care whether he stays or goes but I think people are missing the point spectacularly if they think he's the big problem at the club

He's part of it.

Stop being so obtusive Ross.
Spell out your reasons why we are in the mire rather than alluding to what aren't the reasons.
He is part of it. Lets not forget that Cole, Konchesky, Poulsen and Meireles are HIS players Rosco. We can blame Rafa for how thin the squad is, but i tell you what, you sign four players, sell four players and send an 18m midfielder out on loan you better be able to do something with what you have left.

He's a MASSIVE problem.

He's going to "take positives" from this game.
Hopefully regarding his bank balance.

We really don't have many ideas in the attacking third. Very predictable and rarely executed well.
welcome back !
I'll second that.

Ct, any ideas about how long John Henry will put up with this?
Cheers! Not really sure, but he looked none too pleased after the game. The balance between not rocking the boat right away and not letting his new team get mired too deep is his first call.

For all the crap American sports owners have taken for "franchises" they typically (Jerry Jones excepted, maybe) are not afraid to shake things up.

This. Spot on Rosco.

I beg to differ, I think he is the big problem, albeit only now that the ownership has been resolved (if it is good for the club - we'll have to wait and see on that). Now that that's resolved he is the big problem, he's just not the right manager for a club this big and the attendant pressures that brings. We can't simply swap all the players and most of them did pretty good two years ago. We can employ a manager that get's the best out of what we have and buys well - Hodgson is not making a good impression on that front...

liverpool last season reached 7th with a sea of injuries. this season look where we are after essentially releasing one first time player. hodgson is abso-fucking-lutely the problem.

I hope Henry kicks off on Hodgson like Christian Bale on the Lighting guy,'YOU'RE A NICE GUY...A NICE GUY!!! BUT YOU AND ME ARE DONE!..professionally'.

The value-for-money argument has it's place, but we do actually have a decent set of players - value for money or not - and we should be doing far better than we are. That's where the manager comes into play.

EVERTON 2-0 Defeat
BLACKPOOL 2-1 Defeat
UTRECHT 0-0 Draw
SUNDERLAND 2-2 Draw
NORTHAMPTON 2-2 Defeat (p)
MAN UTD 3-2 Defeat
BIRMINGHAM 0-0 Draw

Thats enough thank you

FUCK OFF.

Yep. Sure we aren't elite, but we should be doing better than the likes of Blackpool, Sunderland, Birmingham etc.

Haha you make it sound like you work at the club. Let's admit it, none of us have the faintest clue what really goes on behind the scenes, let alone identify problems within the club.

If you speculate that there are bigger problems at the club, then at least list them. Share.

henry - 'LET'S GO AGAIN!! I'LL KICK YOUR FUCKING ARSE!!'

Rosco, everyone is aware of the various problems at the club.

One of the only ones we can address short term is a new manager. Given that Hodgson has thus far been a complete disaster, is it so bizarre that people are focusing on the thing that CAN be changed?

Toothless, clueless, utterly lacking in confidence. Roy's fault? He certainly isn't improving the team but it's deeper than that.

Typical. The club overall has a decent week and Hodgson spoils it.

Get rid. I'm failing to find any reasons why we might want to keep him.
The way Roy smiled at the end made me think he know that's that and he's done
just what I thought!

roy is just utterly fucking clueless. you could list the amount of things he could have done to get liverpool back into the game, and then there was the point in the second half were everton just ran out of steam so instead of making changes and going for the fucking throat he wait for the 70th minute (THE FUCKING 70th MINUTE!!!)

fuck him off now, he is out of his fucking depth.
