Chelsea post match

So in summary, we beat the 15th place team (with the worst defence in the league) 3-1, with the help of some dodgy refereeing decisions in our favour.

But we're all excited because this is clearly evidence that Klopp is a fucking genius?

Most of you are actually not thick enough to believe this, yet you do believe it.

We've won one league game so far out of three and you should always expect an initial bounce in results when you sack a manager.

So let's all get delirious now and spend the last two months of the season wondering how everything went so wrong

Which is why I'm glad the Mourinho circus has taken pretty much all the attention from us.

Keep feet grounded and focus on the next match.

The big picture here is that we're slowly improving. I'm a "glass half empty" type of person as well but there's a lot to be excited about now that Klopp is getting some of our injured players back.
We might have just beat a team devoid of confidence and form but Stamford Bridge is still a tough place to go to.
I'm not sure we would have won if Rodgers was in charge.

We'll never know.

But I do know we'd have improved during the season anyway

I thought he was, and even thought he had deflected it. A bit brainless by Lallana but there was so much happening and in the furore about whether Lucas ought to (ought not to) have been sent off was overlooked.

Good point. That pretty much counts as an assist for Lucas. I may have to revise my MOTM picks accordingly.

"The big players show their quality in the games you need them," Skrtel told Liverpoolfc.com.

"Maybe Philippe didn't play quite as well in the last few games but today he showed his quality and how important he is for this team.
"We didn't start well, we knew that. But I think after that ten minutes we started to play the game we wanted to and the [equalising] goal we scored was a massive help for us. "In the second half we dominated, scored two goals, and won the game."

Skrtel was keen, however, to emphasise the role played by other members of the starting XI and those who emerged from the bench.
"The performance as a team was outstanding and every single player [either] on the pitch or on the bench, did everything for the win today," he added.
"That's why we are very happy. It feels great. "To beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge is always something special and especially after the performance we showed today. "I think second half we absolutely dominated and deserved the three points."
His English is brilliant isn't it 😉

All the crap modo got/gets and you post this trolling drivel. We beat a bogey team, the defending winners, the blockers of our 2013 push for a title at their place with a manager we all despise - in our new managers first month. And you don't see progress. This "I'm so smart I'm a contrarian" attempt is pretty poor and not believable at all.

He can feel mildly aggrevieved over the lucas issue, but otherwise they were shit

Hazard isn't fit to lace ronaldos boots, let alone be a better player
Mildly aggrieved? If that's a booking then virtually every foul is a booking which is a nonsense. Plus I'm mildly aggrieved that Costa had another stamp at Skrtel and that the ref doesn't think that Terry's bicep is a handball.

That should even things out on the aggrieved stakes.

Yeah, thats what I thought aswell. Clattenburg was pretty close to the incident so maybe thats what tipped it in Lucas favour. Wasnt a cynical foul at all.
Not giving a yellow was correct imho.

Thing is about the Lucas' incident is that sometimes the ref pulls out a second yellow but most often they don't. If you'd not watched the match and simply went off the Chelsea reaction (and the media's as a result), you'd be thinking he must've gone in studs up or something.

Perhaps they're a little sore given that Matic recently received two yellows (?) but over the years they've had a lot of decisions go their way so all the moaning this season is pretty pathetic. I guess every club feels like the ref, media etc are against them.

What a boring cunt.

And Clattenburg ... I thought he was average. Missed calls for both sides ... probably should have shown two reds and I still don't know (but I'm grateful) why he let us continue our attack late in the 1st half where Coutinho equalized.
I'll take this last point.

"There will be a MINIMUM of two added minutes..."

I get excited when we win games we are supposed to win. Like bottom half of the table teams. Been a while on that front.

To me that was not even a yellow card. Little trips like that happen in all games. He was not lunging or anything but you are right that chelsea bench reacted as if he had stuck his cock in the chelsea players mouth.

Maybe but it should be and was. I'm not complaining...

Neither was I ... I was convinced we'd have scored had he not blown the whistle ... and then he didn't blow, and he scored and I couldn't stop but laughing ... Sometimes you just get the breaks, and the cunts don't.

For me it shows you how bad it is there, that they were so desperate to get us down to ten men. Like it was the only way they could get a result.

And afterwards, it's the only thing implied, whilst forgetting Costa's stamp or John Terry's handball or even Cahill clearing out Lallana after he'd had a shot. That last one is a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Oh and Cahill stayed down "injured" until he knew he wouldn't be penalised and then was up like a shot.

But this is all futile. We won, we were worthy winners and the manner of the victory, hard fought, gritty and energetic, should be lauded whoever it was against. We put our backs up against the wall and worked for that.
