He has and maybe it worked as a wake up call, and he finally put the I can always go back there if things dont work out mentality out of his mind.

Yeh, I've been saying that for a while. No point playing him at all if you're going to drop him any time he seems to get into some sort of stride and confidence. Play him, give him the chance to find form and for other players to adapt to him. Then sell him in the summer, buy a better striker, and try to forget the whole unfortunate episode.

Ha! Proper charmer

my spider-sense is tingling and it's telling me that it's possible that pete doesn't like carroll. the signal is faint however so it could be wrong.

nah, i'm just being a bit mardy. he's ok, definitely been getting better since xmas. but i don't personally see him ever being quite good enough for the sort of team i can see us trying to build, so i'd prefer to start again with someone else. i think on the back of a good run we could get £15m for him, and imo that'd get you a better, more suitable, and more reliable striker, so that's currently what i'd like to see happen.

I think carroll can be excellent but we have to stop treating him like he a 7 foot tall with no footballing ability. play the normal passing game, play the normall pressing game and if there is a chance to cross then cross.
andy needs to fit inside our style of play not the other way round. I'm confindent with skrtel and agger as the centre backs the long ball will stop.

All season long you've been saying the complete opposite

How the fuck has K4PM got over 100 likes? He's not even that sound and doesn't have a hulking moustache man as his display picture.

Whats really pleased me most about being the first poster to hit this historic figure is the fact that so many different people have contributed to that total.

His signature tells the story.

Are you suggesting that over 50 of the most respected posters on this site could be as desperate as that?

If you didn't make posts like the above and of course cut down on your whinging, maybe you would have more likes Modo.

Carroll: Get me off Reds bench

Liverpool striker Andy Carroll believes he has spent too much time on the substitutes' bench since his big-money move to Anfield.

Carroll: Too much time on the bench

The 23-year-old England international has as yet failed to live up to his £35million price tag following a frustrating start to his Reds career.

Carroll has, however, gone some way towards repaying his fee in the past week when he followed a late winner at Blackburn with the goal that sent Liverpool through to the FA Cup final at the expense of closest rivals Everton at the weekend.
The former Newcastle frontman started both games and, after a season in which he has come off the bench in 14 of his 31 league appearances, believes he will only get better with more time on the pitch.
"I am confident in myself that, if I am playing games, I will score goals and put myself about," he told various newspapers. "I cannot really do that if I am on the bench and coming on in the last 10 minutes of games.
"What I want is to start games and put myself about like I know I can. When I haven't been playing, you get low on confidence."
Carroll also claimed the days of his party lifestyle off the pitch were behind him since moving to Liverpool.
Last September former England boss Fabio Capello infamously warned Carroll that he needed to "drink less", with the striker now admitting he prefers to stay in with his girlfriend.
"My past is my past. I changed my lifestyle when I came to Liverpool and settled down. I love it here," he said. "People will say to me 'Oh, you were in the boozer last week' but it is just rumours going round.
"Now I just laugh it off. To be honest, I don't go out at all. All I do now is sit in the house with my girlfriend, chill out and watch movies.
"
