Is this the real start to his LFC career ?

Two big goals in the space of a week to win two games. The work rate, the fitness, the desire all seem to be there now.

I see plenty more goals from him in future

So it basically took a £35 million striker a year and a half to get going?
Nah he's got a long way to go to convince me.

i'm only arsed whether he can be part of a title winning squad. we've already paid the money. i think he can.

Glad to see him deliver the goods. His longest run in the starting XI is for 3 full matches. Hopefully these goals and performances mean he'll get a longer one than that to prove himself.

The price tag was to heavy on his shoulders.Every single time he misses a chance it's mentioned.

I think it might. Maybe his recent treatment from the Newcastle fans was a wake up call that he need to leave that behind him and get on with being a fucking Liverpool player.

The way he celebrated his goal makes me think he's ready to try and find adoration here.

We cant do nothing about that though. Its not affecting Aguero, is it?
Im happy with Carrolls performances of late but he need to keep this up next season.

he is good with the ball at his feet so it's pointless punting up to him. this will stop when carra is on the bench.

If all Zips are Zoodles, and all Zoodles are Zonkers, then all Zips are definitely Zonkers...?

You are aware that Carroll didn't assign the £35m price tag to himself aren't you?

You're also aware that throughout history there are plenty of examples of players taking a period of time to become class acts after tranfers?

I do agree though, we need him to push on from here and for Kenny to give him the chance to push on...

Late push for the Euros?

Would like to think so. I know he missed a few sitters but his all round game was good - he held the ball up, he linked well with Suarez and he obviously got the all important winner.

Credit to Kenny for sticking with him for the full 90, easy thing would have been to bring him off after them misses.

He's defo worth another season imo.

Even after missing the sitters though it was good to see that he didn't hide. He kept at it and got his (and our) reward at the end

He will never justify his price tag but he still young and will improve.

He is slowly getting the aggression back that he had at Newcastle

It was quite nice to see Gerrard jumping straight ontop over him when the final whistle went, clearly chuffed for him.

I've never lost faith that Andy will become a top striker in this league. But I was starting to wonder if it would happen here. What a time to see the tide swing.

It could very well be. I hope so cause he has the ability. He absolutly tormented the Everton defence today.
Letd hope he scores another 2-3 goals in the 6 remaining games and can really kick on next season.

Wonder if he has a chance of getting on the plane to the Euros, would do his confidence a world of good.

Lets look at englands striking options

Rooney
Sturridge
Defoe
Bent (injured?)
Welbeck
Crouch
erm....

Yeah

Lets say 4 go. Rooney, Sturridge should definitely go. Defoe I'd argue for. Welbeck? Possibly as he certainly does put in a shift. Crouch? Can't see 'arry taking him myself.

His main competition i'd say was Welbeck. Depends on who finishes the season stronger

Carroll has played in all bar 3 games (2xEPL, 1 xCC) that he has been fit for. That's 44 matches. He's not been left on the shelf.

Grant Holt is second only to Granny Shagger in the English EPL goal charts.

The best thing he did today was when he controlled it and shot..... im pretty sure the main thing missing from our team is a bit of belief in scoring...

he missed a fucking sitter and he knew very little about his goal but nonetheless he played pretty well today.

Another way to look at the strikers might be:

Rooney - Best of the bunch
Sturridge - Not in great form
Defoe - Small man, not going to boss a defence
Welbeck - Don't know much about his game
Crouch - Offers less than Carroll in my opinion

So, defo Rooney and Sturridge then one from Defoe/Welbeck and one from Crouch/Carroll/*Holt.

*Forgot about him, good call.

He's hit form at the right time regarding the Euros. After Rooney there really isnt anyone to play upfront for England.

Should be Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge and Carroll.
