I don't give time, only credit. For example Kenny had like 350,000 of credit in the bank with me, and it would have taken a good decade of losing games for him to go into the red. Rodgers started off with a couple hundred as a token gesture for the new guy. In the space of a few weeks he's somehow managed to fuck it up and drop back down to 0 like some degenerate loser pissing away his dole money on a fruit machine. It's no skin off my nose which way his credit goes. He can have a decade of failure if he wants it's fuck all to do with me. But it's just an objective fact that his credit is going the wrong way at an almighty pace. And when he does eventually get sacked, that final balance will correlate to how much I will hate his guts and how many times I will call him a cunt.

Could see great potential in them, that's the key difference.
Don't ask for the finished article in a relatively young player's first season at a new and big club but you'd like to see potential and promise for the future. Didn't see much of that in Henderson last season.
More pertinently, you might want to look up how non-tangible assets are amortised in a set of accounts. Whatever a club spends on a player is evenly spread over the number of years in his contract, and hence a number of different sets of accounts.
