Agger appreciation thread

I have to say that I'm glad he's back and injury free.
He's been immense since Kenny took over.
He's allowed to go on forward runs with the ball, helping the midfield start attacks.
It looks as if he feels more at home with Kenny's style of play.

I started this thread to remind people of how good he is.
Have to hold my hands up and admit that I was getting a bit fed up with him
because of his injuries and how poor he was at left back at the start of the season.

I'm a big Agger fan and its good to see him back and injury free. Let's hope he stays that way.

His injuries have frustrated the hell out of me and in all honesty I was willing to flog him if he wasn't available for the team. He can improve if he has an extended run in the team and stays injury free.

He lifted up his elbow for Torres to run into, did not get the ball, and stopped Torres in his track. That is a yellow for sure. How did he get away with it I will never know but I am not complaining. 🙂

My favorite Agger moment is from the 2008/09 season (I think).

It was against Wigan.

Agger's touch let him down at the back when he mis-controlled a simple ball-out from Pepe, which gave that big brute of a forward (what happened to him? he even scored a spectacular overhead kick in the same game..) the ball to slot home easily.

How Agger reacted for that was pure class -

- Charged down the left wing, played a one-two with the useless fat fucker Dossena, got to the bi-line, side stepped a Wigan defender and delivered an absolute tap in for Kuyt...

Can anyone find the video for that please?

I was looking for that one when I wrote the thread. Couldn't find it on youtube though.
The big Wigan center forward was Amr Zaki.
I'll see if I can find it elsewhere.
