Could have sent off Skrtel and definately Glen Johnson but he didn't and overall had a good game.

It looked like it but while it would be easy to miss the first offence, Johnson's rugby diving tackle could be seen from Anfield Road. He was very very lucky.

I'm referring to the Johnson 1 and he was he got booked for tripping Evra.

The last man doesnt mean a thing anymore anyway, the point is a clear goalscoring chance - which he wouldnt have gotten and therefor a yellow.

Referees have a different understanding of the rule though, and I remember someone getting sent off at the half way line at WHL last season. Thankfully Webb did the right thing.

Hansern has it on the money........ Denying a clear goal scoring chance. Which he didn't as Pepe was quickly out. Still a foul, and got booked for it.
Johnson was fouled first by Valencia, but once it wasn't given I thought he was very lucky not to pick up a second yellow. Rugby tackle round the thighs, although Valencia did perform a top class dive some 5 yards after the grope!!

i thought Webb did well. He would have infuriated AF for blowing when Reina was down after LFC's attack petered out rather than not kicking it out of touch. Several calls were for us rather than against us which is the normal thing to do in OT.

Webb was fair yesterday, although the fact that for two thirds of the game we were not even in the damn game probably game him the opportunity to ref that way.... im sure if we had equalised then he would have pulled something out the bag for United.

I might add that United blatantly wasted 2 minutes of extra time yet the whistle went dead on 94.

I don't think we can have any complaints about the refereeing. The football came first for a change - it's just a shame that Utd were much better at it.
