Well surely you can do better than Rafael and Evans for starters. Janujaz I'm not so sure would be a starter either if I'm honest. Still it's your team so I guess you would know.

Rafel and Evans aren't perfect but it is not like we are competing against sides who have the best players in every position. Don't think they are significantly worse/better than the other teams challenging for top 4.
We also have backup for Evans in Jones and Smalling who look good for their age when not played in CM or at full back.
Januzaj will be a success IMO, but only time will tell.
Youre Man Utd for fuck sake. I can see why as a fan you think they are good enough, but Evans, Fabio, Janusaj......not good enough.
Not over rating them, just think they are reasonably solid. Rafel can be headless of times but other times decent and good going forward.

The bookies currently have us as third favourites, ahead of yourselves and Arsenal, for the league and pretty sure they aren't expecting us to replace the entire team between now and the start of the season.
All fans over estimate their own team but I think some on here are vastly under estimating some of the players in ours.

In the future maybe, but he's horribly overrated at the moment and you guys need to protect him to make sure he develops. He's not the player to be starting every week in a team challenging for the top four. We had this exact situation with Sterling two years ago, you risk burning him out heaping this much pressure and expectation on him.
Well one thing I think we can both agree on @ChastenedMUFC - There is some serious rebuilding work needing to be done. Two good pick ups already though so it's not all doom and gloom. The other thing I would say is if LVG goes shopping abroad Utd could very well up like Spurs last season. Unproven PL players in key positions in the 1st XI is a recipe for disaster (Yay!) 😉
I certainly hope they prefer Sneijder. There's no way to go but down for him.
It's not that I think the team is weak per se - More that there is a real lack of class in the 1st XI. Midfield for example. Carrick, Fellaini, Valencia, Nani are good squad players no doubt (well maybe not Nani who is frankly shit - I'm sure you agree on that one) - And then there is the defence. Evra and Vidic both gone the back ups like Smalling, Jones and in my mind Evans and Rafael are adequate covers but not genuine starters.

I should have added him to that little list of players a few posts above. Another good example of a squad player (not a particularly good one imo). They really do seem littered with them.
I'm not saying Liverpool are blessed with an abundance world class talent and it was that lack of squad depth that proved costly last season but it looks like we are addressing it nicely. Whether LVG can address the glaring problems Utd have I guess we'll see.

In defense with the signing of one world class CB I think Evans, Smalling and Jones are good enough. Not perfect but no worse than the other top 4 challengers.
Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Mad Louie is capable of addressing their problems. IMO the real question is how quickly he can do so, for two reasons: (a) he and the whole club will be under pressure right from the start to get back into contention at the very top, and (b) with van Gaal there's always the likelihood of a major bust-up. If that happens after his reconstruction work is done it may not matter so much but, if not, it'll set them back even further. We can but hope.
Not perfect but yeah do-able. The CB and CM signing that Utd surely are going to get are going to be key to how you do this season I think. Screw those signings up and think Utd will struggle to make the top 4.
Oh and for the record in LVG you probably have the guy to make those changes correctly - Annoyingly 😉

Which to be fair to Moyes is sort of what he did last season. Januzaj only started 15 PL games for us.
So we all agree you need somebody to start ahead of him then.
No between himself and Kagawa (who I think LVG will get far more from) I think we will be OK in that position.
Not if you're relying on Kagawa to play wide left, you won't. He's a good player but that isn't his position. You need to play him centrally or replace him.
