Mixed reports at the minute, he's saying he's looking forward to working with the "Special" one, the club have apparently said he can go for £20m (apologies if posted elsewhere or old news).

Staying as sub or going ... Mourinho, if he's smart, would just let Lukaku lead the line ... he's ready and what a player he's going to develop into in the coming years.

I dont think he will go. He must be on 200k. Which club at the level he is now at (Atletico, Seville, Napoli etc) could afford that.

At PSG if Rafa goes there? Possible, I suppose. I was thinking Atletico might fetch him home when Falcao leaves.

Yep Psg is very feasible but it's probably too early for the retirement pay wedge from America,China or Turkey.

I don't think Atletico can afford him but PSG or Monaco (if they do have the money that is being reported) might be attractive destinations.

I can't help but feel bad for Torres now.

But not that, that is relevant to this thread or anything...I reckon he'll stay until at least Jan.

Chelsea will surely buy at least one big name striker so he'll probs have to play second fiddle.

Well, I'm sceptical. Rafa's previous stint in Italy wasn't a success (in fact the football cultures of Italy and Spain often don't seem to mix well, for whatever reason) and I'd lay a sizeable sum his family won't want to go there again.

I think Rafa will have a point to prove if he does go back to Italy. I am not sure if Napoli has any immediate ambition of winning the Scudetto but if given time, I think Rafa will do well to build a squad strong enough to challenge. Having said that, you could be right about his family not wanting to go back there again.

What a weird career - he only sates his appetite for trophies after his best form fades. It must feel like being fed your favourite food puréed via a drip.

Just goes to show. He bangs them in for us and looks like the best imported striker ever but wins fuck all. Then plays to about half his capabilities and wins everything. Tsk.

So Rafa is going back to prove his point everywhere. PL - Check, Serie A - Check.

Torres? H'ed never come back
