Thinks he owns the place

According to the papers Soton, Leicester and Stoke are interested.
Will he be one of the first to leave? What can we get for him?

Can see Klopp selling him and replacing him with a quality central midfielder.
The dream would obvioulsy be Gundogan.

We're gonna be linked with all sorts coming in and out now that Klopp is in.
I still reckon we could get 8-10mill for him. He's a decent player, if not a world beater

Maybe £8m? Is that a bit optimistic? He's still young and a Welsh international.

I've never, ever rated Allen, so happy to see him leave. Hope we get some genuine quality in to replace him.

I think there aren't that many to go; Allen, Lovren and Baloltelli are the only obvious ones to my mind.

I suspect Markovic will return and I think Origi will probably move on next summer but apart from that there is talent to be coached

Lucas, Mignolet, Enrique, Lovren, Origi, Allen, Toure, Lallana can all leave.

Balotelli and Markovic can stay where they are.

Yeah, I thought 8 mill could be a realistic fee for him.
I rated him but he hasnt developed at all tbh. Time to move on.

Surely he's more like 5mill now based on what he's done for us? We'd be ripping someone off if we get back what we paid for him. Saying that, didn't Rodgers say we'd done them and that he'd have paid double?

Rodgers did indeed say that by now Joe Allen would be worth £30m. The signing of Allen, and subsequent frequent eulogies about him was one of the biggest concerns and issues I had with Rodgers. So very desperate to prove a point about how clever he was.

A quick Google search says we've been discussing a contract since March with Allen.

Does anybody want to rage on about the incompetence of it not being done already considering he's only got 18 months left on his present deal?

No? Thought not.

£5m at most, I reckon. Given the bargains the mid table clubs are getting abroad I can't see anyone going high on Allen.

And like Lallana he'll be back in the lower divisions by the time he's 30.

Take out that first sentence and the same can be said of Ryan

I'm harboring a little bit of hope that Klopp can get something out of Allen. Injuries and a massive lack of confidence might have dealt a fatal blow to his Liverpool career though.

Joe Allen is a very good footballer and I was enthusiastic about his signing and thought £14m was a fair price. I still think he's a very good footballer but he hasn't improved the way I thought he would. He has been excellent for Wales in their qualifying group (along with their only other 3 decent players Bale, Ramsey & Williams) and has done well against decent teams. I still think he'll do an excellent job for a team like Southampton, WBA or maybe back to Swansea; I think we'll get about £8m for him but I still think he will prove a bargain for that price if and when he goes.

For the record I think we should sell him because Klopp needs to make this team "his" and get rid of quite a few players and Allen could hardly be deemed important to us at this stage.

He is British with a better injury record than walcott and wilshere so I would say £14.5m. Remember we got £10m for borini.

Same here. I'm hoping that Klopp will halt the destruction of assets at which Rodgers was so adept. That includes giving even Rodgers's own "overpriced" favourites a fresh start. Since January is so far away, the best bet is to regroup with what we have and let January take care of itself when it comes.

He's clearly a very decent player and a good pro. Sadly he's not the top quality we need in that position and he'll always be tarred with the fact he was overhyped by a manager who ultimately failed. Wherever Rodgers lands his next job he can buy allen as his first signing.

If so we should say the price is £30M. He won't pass a chance to prove himself right, will he?
