Adam is more attacking than Xabi. Xabi would sit and control the game, Adam prefers to get forward and try to make stuff happen. I think he's great, if he can learn how to tackle he will be an excellent central midfielder.

'Replacement' is nothing to do with it. Is he playing the 'role' Xabi played? Is he tasked to play the same kind of game Xabi was required to play. The answer to these questions is no.
Xabi contributed to our overall play so much more, covered more ground and was better defensively than Charlie Adam. He also played the right ball with precision time after time. That's why one is a 30M Real Madrid player and the other is an 8M signing from Blackpool.
However they are still pretty good stats from Adam so fair play. I think Adam could progress into a better footballer with us.
