Pre season game 2: Preston (A)

Good for Peterson. I hope he's also played his way into some Championship or League One scouts' shortlists for a season's loan. I think Kent, Wilson and Sinclair will be playing (more?) in the U21s next season so it makes sense for him to go out, get more experience, and test himself against senior opposition.

Was impressed again today with Ibe, thought Suso did well too. No one else really stuck out for me.
Feel a bit sorry for Ibe, the season before last, when Sterling was utterly inconsistent, I thought he was a little better than Sterling. Then last year, whilst Sterling got a shot at earning his chance to be in the starting 11, Ibe was farmed off to an utterly bollocks blues team which apart from getting fitness match practise, he'd have learned nothing from as they got battered most games and their coaches are rubbish. Now he's back at the club, and is a year behind Sterling really in development. Ibe is one of those players I hope develops with us and doesn't get farmed out on loan, he looks really promising.

Anyway.. Peterson, Ibe, Rossiter and Suso for me. I'd love to see the four of them play a bigger part this season.
Ibe, for me, is the most impressive. He's about 18 months away from where Sterling and Markovic are currently, and if we want him to get there, we need to find something really good for him - not some shitty 3 month loan deal at Birmingham.

He should be in the PL. Maybe as a sweetener to Southampton for the Lovren deal? Or maybe to Swansea as a favour to Rodgers' old chum Monk? Anywhere where we can get assurances for consistent playing time.

I know its pre season but Lucas looked very out of sorts. Spent more time on his arse then running the first 20 mins.

It'll be interesting to see if he gets a go against some of the better sides we're playing in the US (on an aside it's great to finally be playing some good sides in preseason rather than Grasshopper Zurich and the like) and how he does. If he performs really well he may convince Rodgers that he's ready now.

JESUS!!!

His technique looks strange especially when he passes on his left foot.
But he always seems to find the right man and the way the ball zips along the ground is lovely to watch.
