He was wank and we played better without him

Slow, slow passer, no intelligence

generally shite

Meireles and Gerrard proved they can play together, so let's continue with a 4-4-2 and drop this horribly shite crap player.

How did we pay 5 mill £ for this???? There are so many other players we could have got for that sum, that would have done a much much better job.

It's pointless arguing over which fucking cunt is shitter.

Neither have any business playing for Liverpool

Fuck off, both of you, and take Budgie with you

issue of 4-4-2 is who do we play as LM and RM?

4-3-3 like at the end of the game with kuyt, jova/n'gog, torres up top

Gerrard, mereiles and cole central

Few decent tackles but fucked up a few simple passes. We're a shambles at time but Poulsen isn't doing himself any favours.

He isn't needed at home to Blackpool.

Haha....you can fuck right off if you think Shitsen ranks at the same level of shitness as Lucas.

wow poulsen wins hands down

Poulsen was one of the worst performers today but really most outthere were mostly poor once again.

He was on most posters Top 3 against Man U however a week back and is still settling into a team without any head nor obvious flow and system.

Roy for me got a lot of the players on the teamsheet right but the tactics completely wrong. Gerrard where found sitting BEHIND Poulsen umpteenths times and that really was awful to watch. We first started to gel as soon as our most inspirational player got his shackles of and was moved further forward.

Poulsen may never really found his feet but Spidey do you really believe that his performance today was the kind of performances that has made him into the player he is or do you think he had a really bad day at the office? Why didn't you start this thread after the United game?

Your constant and almost blind faith in Babel kind of makes your harsh judgements on a player after his only fourth game look a bit stupid mind.

Shitsen's problem is he's very slow and rarely passes forward.

If he can learn how to pass, he can still turn this around.

But he's got to speed up and use his brain.

If doesnt know how to pass in his thirties, he will never learn. He is a lost cause. We should sell him in january.

He once knew how to pass (and I hope he still does) but I'm not going to use many breaths on defending his performance today. It was poor at best.

Good point.

The problem is players coming from Europe (where they take around 8 minutes on the ball) is always going to take time to adjust.

But like another poster said, a guy who's already in his 30's has the odds stacked against him.

Whoever could have predicted this. Oh.

Didn't KHL start a thread about how with the mix of midfielders, all of whom are worse than we used to have, we might get some magically better balance? At this point, if we MUST persist, I'd rather play Lucas because he's more dynamic. Yes, there is someone that Lucas is more dynamic than, and we bought him. HAHAAHAHAHAHA.

What we ought to do is a 442, with Gerrard and Meireles, and Magic not defending but on the wing. We'd probably lose more and win more than way, but it'd be more interesting and at least have potential if we clicked a bit.

And again, why on fucking earth did we sell Aquilani. I'm under no illusions about what a fighter he is, but he's got an ounce of... bah, well, we know why we sold Aquilani, it's because we can't afford to pay his wages, and Hodgson bought the one about how we'd get someone in at the end of the transfer market offering fuck all or wierd, unagreeable terms.

Always find it silly how KHL is lambasted when Poulsen plays poorly or Agger for that matter.

He obviously want's them to do well due to his nationality and is often a bit eager to jump to their defence but sure it isn't harming anyone. It's the same with the Anti Roy Brigade now ramming it down the throats of those who supported his appointment. It's a no win situation.

Yea, it's almost as if we are all really pissed off and tend to like to needle each other because it's a message board and it amuses everyone.

What the fuck is wrong with you guys? First Spidey and now you?

You are aware that I'm not 1) in charge of the club nor transfers or 2) influencing team tactics?

Not that it matters really but how many times have we all been teairing our hair out from watching us play dire at home even when the mighty Masher was around? Poulsen was really crap today but seriously that wasn't our main concern that was our overall approach and tactics. We started brightly and then for some odd reason after getting ahead we started to look completely headless and players were constantly out of position without showing any movement nor desire at all.

Oh and PS: It was rather bleeding obvious why we sold Aquilani and it had nothing to with his wages. But yeah you're probably right he would've been the answer to all our prayers.

Whilst I am no Poulsen fan, to be fair to KHL he's right that:

a) most people were impressed with Poulsen against Man U
b) people have given Babel time to prove himself for much much longer than they have Poulsen (and I don't care how young Babel is, he's shit).

If my prayer is for a player that can cause threat, then yes, he'd do that in between shitting out of challenges, and that would make me happy. I'll take fucking anything at this point.

You're right KHL, we had significant problems when we played Mascherano as part of a defensive two coupled with a player like Lucas, Spearing etc. So why did we buy someone to fill that same position who is similar but much worse?
