"The Premier League is full of really great players & so it is a great honour when these players recognise your work on the pitch", says Suarez. "Really this is for my teammates & the staff at Liverpool because without their help I wouldn't have this prize."

You said you dont give a shit. On account of how you were feeling.
This for a player who gets bood at every ground, who is hammered by the press and who has given his absolute all for this club this season scoring 30 goals and giving us champions league football and a shot at the title.
Its bullshit.
Im down about yesterday we all are, but to not give a shit for what Luis has achieved because im pissed off we lost? I think thats a pisstake i honestly do.
Look you and everyone else is entitled to their opinion, I just think its wrong to see our fans saying they dont care about this. Its an amazing achievement and one I very much care about.

Well said Oncy.

Yes we are deflated but perhaps this will pick us up. I wouldn't like to be in trenches with some of you.

We had three in the team of the year, we had POTY, second in YPOTY and we are top of the league. Let's see it out. If Everton take points of city and we win the league I will buy a jager in the Harry for anyone who still believes. Lets try and enjoy it lads. I want this league as much as anyone. I've never seen us win one. I want to know what it feels like.

I had no problem with them attending while they were winning. I'm disappointed they wanted to show their faces after what happened earlier in the day.

Maybe they didn't want to, but had to, for the sake of a lot of other people, the club, sponsors, etc etc...

Chelsea didn't.

I have no problem with them going. It's a long time before the next game. I have a problem with it being called a "big night out".

Chelsea are playing Wednesday so we never attending. I presume we hoped we'd win at the weekend and go down with our heads held high. Hardly worth cancelling the chartered plane and avoiding the night. I presume they made the best of a bad situation and attended to support Suarez. Rogers will have them back today focusing on Palace. I doubt they had a 'big night out' either.

We aren't Chelsea though, so actually I'd prefer us to be there, doing what's right by everybody, in the news, positive publicity, looking professional as a club and as players, and then go away and deal with the pain of defeat later. The alternative seems to be letting the defeat look like it's crushed our spirit and we have gone into hiding.

Maybe the feelings some people are having that we should have avoided a 'big night out' stem from the Spice Boy era when we appeared not to care about losing. That would be massively ironic given who won the Player of the Year award.

Good for Suarez and I suppose Liverpool on the whole to win things like this.

As for nights out or whatever, who cares. I'm not expecting them to sit at home and carry out some kind of self-flagellation.
