Watching the Cowboys, I think, is more frustrating than watching the current Liverpool team ... Bloody hell, we should have ended this game by half time and we'll end up losing the way Romo and co are going.
All im seeing is a lot of finger pointing.

This team has no leadership.
Barber and James it seems ... We are lacking what #88 used to do ... Man ... Those were the days eh?

What a pathetic display after Barber's TD run ... The Broncos deserve their win but I'm almost off the 'Tony Romo can take the Cowboys to the playoffs' bandwagon. Besides one phenomenal pass to Hurd, which I don't think many QBs in the NFL can make, he was utter shit. He looks so so unsure of himself, constantly overthrowing WRs (got his #1 killed) and just having no awareness of what was happening around the pocket. I know I know, we had little running game to help him but he's paid the big bucks to lead this team. He cost us the win today as far as I'm concerned with those two TOs (one that led to Denver's TD, the other that ended on Champ's INT). In essence, this team could easily be 4-0 ... but as I said since the season's start, I'd be happy with a 9-7 season considering all the factors ...

Other than that ...

The positives
- We should beat KC next week
- Our defense is fantastic (pity about the botched play on Marshall's TD). Bradie James, as I said earlier in the thread, is the key to our defense as we're still clicking despite yet another sack-less game from Ware (has the contract situation done something to his ability!?!?)

The Negatives
- Why are we not giving Bennett more opportunities?
They'll be lucky to go 6-10.

This is not a team. There's no heart and no intensity.

Wade will be sacked come January. Its a wasted season.

I'm not willing to give up on the season just yet ...

If it's his last season, I say keep him as Def Coordinator and bring in Cowher. If he can't light a fire under most of our players, no one will.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Williams isn't good enough for a number one. He shouldn't have even been the Lions number one by the end.

I've never thought much of Romo. What happens if he continues to put in mediocre performances? Kitna's not the answer either.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Wade's a good Coordinator but I don't want him hanging around.

I expect the new head coach to be either Shanahan or Holmgren.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Cowboys, Tampa, Seattle and Tennessee all looked like theyd be better than they are this year....oh and us.

On a side note, IF he can stay healthy, I think Felix Jones is the closest I've seen to 'Barry Sanders Mark II'. Every touch is dangerous ... But, it seems he's got a competition going with Degen ... :/
He's a better example of a soulless mercinary than even Michael Owen.

He's a god in Green Bay, and he goes to the Vikings?!?! As bad as it gets... Ever.

Ouch, you missed big time on that one my friend.

Any other Cowboys fans in for Mike Holmgren next year?

Sorry all - For some reason, I thought I was quoting a Brett Farve piece... Dunno what happened there.

I wouldn't have a problem with Holmgren.

Just the sort of coach that Romo needs. I believe he's a good pal of Jerry Jones as well 😉

Its a good alibi.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Well, credit where it's due...

I can't stand the money-grabbing, traiterous wanker, but Farve was outstanding on Monday night. It was like watching him ten years ago, when he was the best around.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Two headcase updates:

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP)—The San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Michael Crabtree(notes) have agreed to a six-year contract after several months of difficult negotiations.

Team spokesman Bob Lange confirmed the deal in a text message to The Associated Press early Wednesday. Terms were not disclosed.

Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini has dumped dissatisfied wide receiver Braylon Edwards(notes) off on his former team.

Mangini sent Edwards, a former first-round pick whose troubles have matched his immense talent, to the New York Jets on Wednesday. The trade involves wide receiver Chansi Stuckey(notes), linebacker Jason Trusnik(notes) and undisclosed draft choices.

“It’s the right thing for us and for Braylon,†Mangini said.

Edwards, in his fifth season, has 10 receptions for 139 yards but was held to no catches for the first time in his career in the winless Browns’ 23-20 overtime loss to Cincinnati on Sunday. His best season came in 2007, when he had 80 catches for 1,289 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Actually, now I know what I did - I meant to quote the post above that, which WAS a Farve related one, by St. Georgie.

Anyways...

We should have cut Crayton after that drop against the Giants in the playoffs ... "Best hands" my ass.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

See, here's where I feel bad for Tony Romo...

He'll get crucified tomorrow for not being able to get them in the endzone at the end of the 1st half, but BOTH his WRs had easy catches that they just missed. A high school player would have been benched for dropping either of those passes.

Rubbish from the WRs. Again.

And the defense isn't helping much either... Who teaches these men to tackle? 'Cos they should be fired.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

We've missed a few sacks but again, the defense is creating issues. I can see 4-5 sacks in the 2nd half and a TO or two too.

Romo is actually looking very good today. We need a #1 WR next year - We get that and the offense should be decent.

A few issues I'm having:

DeWare? What has happened to him?
Bennett? Is he even on the pitch anymore?

They could have had 3 or 4 sacks in the last 10 minutes of the 1st half if they could actually TACKLE AND HOLD a man.

And though Tony has passed it well for the most past, he does have his weekly idiotic turnover that will give his critics their usual ammo...

Spencer is having his best game ... Let's hope this is the 'norm' b/c that will help ware again.

It's sad that the Chiefs are 'competing' with the 'Boys considering how piss poor they are.

I don't think blame goes on him ...

If the 'Boys lose on that shit call on Ball, I'll be very pissed. We don't deserve to lose this game and that 'penalty' is a game changer.

Romo has played very well this game ... It is the Chiefs though!
