We've missed a few sacks but again, the defense is creating issues. I can see 4-5 sacks in the 2nd half and a TO or two too.

Romo is actually looking very good today. We need a #1 WR next year - We get that and the offense should be decent.

A few issues I'm having:

DeWare? What has happened to him?
Bennett? Is he even on the pitch anymore?
They could have had 3 or 4 sacks in the last 10 minutes of the 1st half if they could actually TACKLE AND HOLD a man.

And though Tony has passed it well for the most past, he does have his weekly idiotic turnover that will give his critics their usual ammo...
I don't think blame goes on him ...

If the 'Boys lose on that shit call on Ball, I'll be very pissed. We don't deserve to lose this game and that 'penalty' is a game changer.

Romo has played very well this game ... It is the Chiefs though!
My point is that, as well as he has played, he has also committed his usual, weekly stupid turnover. So, he's not helping himself, when it comes to the critisism that is regularly sent his way.

By the way, if you lose this game, that fumble led to 7 points. Hard not to balme him, at least partly.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

I won't go into the negatives, b/c they're so obvious but I'll look at the many positives that this team can actually build on (hopefully):

- I love Barber, he's the leader of this team. But he's not healthy and he shouldn't be taking carries away from Choice.
- I think people have been babbling over Austin for years. The talent has always been there. He's still very raw but he's shown he can play in this league. Let's hope he can become more of a factor more often, not just once every few years.
- Jay Ratliff ... He's one of the best interior lineman and as Rico said earlier in this thread, perhaps we should go to a 4-3 just to allow him to cause even more damage.
- Keith Brooking was a fantastic pick up. He's complemented James really well, and makes plays non-stop.

We beat a shitty team, barely. But we won. 3-2 isn't a bad record ...

Unless we win a playoff game, I think Dallas needs a new head coach next year, and a new offensive coordinator. Something is missing - and I don't think it's the talent on the pitch.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Just seen Cleveland QB Derek Andersons stats for todays game vs Buffalo.

CMP ATT YDS TD's INT
2 17 23 0 1

He played the entire game........................

.............and they won! ;D ;D

Dallas needs a new head coach TOMORROW, mate. Otherwise you'll be fortunate to sneak a wild card spot and your usual first round give-up.

This team has no leadership, no direction, and will go nowhere with that buffoon in charge.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

He's not a buffoon, just not the head coach THIS team needs. The only leadership we're missing is from the head coach, and we need a new offensive coordinator too.

We won't make the playoffs unless we get on a Giants like run (ie when they won the Super Bowl) ... As I said before the season started, I would like a 9-7 season ... That won't be a 'playoff season'

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

He's a laughing stock, Avy.

Last week he didn't know that Marion Barber wasn't on the pitch for the entire second half. Yesterday he admits to "not really knowing what was going on...".

He's an embarassment.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

I saw that this morning. Mike Singletary is going to mess that dude up.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Would any of the regulars in this thread recommend me any websites/podcasts on the NFL?
I have been using NFL.com and it is pretty good, but no harm in using one or two other places for info.

Other than NFL.com is use Si.com

Do you follow one team in particular?

I can't speak for the other teams but the Cowboys own website is pretty good.
Agreed. Unlike the uk where the team sites are shite and the main ones are better, in the states the individual team sites are boss.
The steelers site is great.
The Jets one should be fine for you mate.

espn.com has good stuff too.
Are you an Insider on espn.com, by chance?

Seems like a lot of good articles, you have to be an insider to have access.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

The saints are very deep ... and I normally hate Shockey but was happy for him. I hate the Giants and their cocky ass fans more than anyone else in the NFL, well the Steeler fans match 'em but at least they have something to back up their talk. Brandon Jacobs and all his shit, and their 'BEST D' ever.

See, Mr.Manning, THAT's how you play QB. 8)
Manning had a very bad day today - not sure if it was just 'one of those days' (which seems like it considering that miss to Smith when they were down 14-0) or the 'Aints defense. Whatever it was, I love seeing the Giants look so bad.
