Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Not compared to Cuntboys fans (some noteable SCM exceptions aside).

All you's are arrogant anyway... expecting to win multiple games every year...

Are steelers fans arrogant?

Most of the fans of teams who either are good, or have a great history, are ... It's why Everton fans are so humble.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Haha:

Halling "coach, would you take the Raiders job if it was offered to you?"

Holmgren: "no".

I don't think most sane people would want to work with Al Davis.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Wonderful day for the Cowboys

Giants? Lost to the 'Aints and almost gave up 50 points.
Eagles? Lost to the RaidUHS ... and didn't score a TD
Skins? Lost to the Chiefs ... Their 3rd straight loss to a winless team

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Jets went down to a field goal in OT.
So as soon as I declare my support for them they lose two on the bounce.
Liverpool have lost 3, I'm having a shit time of it lately.

Don't be so hard on yourself ... The Jets lost this game more than the Bills won it. Be it stupid penalties (mostly on special teams) or Sanchez's five picks ...

[/quote]I didn't see any of the game mate, it was way passed my bed time.
I'll try catch the highlights later tonight.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Ha, 5 interceptions for Sanchez? Good.

It's pissed me off royally how they're all creaming over him. Put him behind Detroit's o-line and put Stafford in New York then see what happens.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

He does have talent SG, it is not his fault the media are over hyping him.
He's got huge potentiol.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Bro; Redskins have lost to a winless team every game this year.

And thanks for all the hate on the Giants failing to see that we played an amazing team who had two weeks to prepare solely for us. With the most emotional player in the NFL driving them on against his old team. Shockey was unbelievable.

we did show some really nice grit though. We fought back from 3-20 to 17-27, made a huge goal line stand but then Eli fumbled on a completely unblocked blindside blitz they went into score and it was the end. Saint have too good and offense to start like that. But with all taken into account, more than happy to be the lock for the NFC East crown.

if you say so.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Cardinals humble the mighty mighty Giants offense with a nice win. Manning with 3 INTs. Very Nice!

Miles Austin with another huge game for the 'Boys and I'm STILL not sold on him but hey, let's he continues the show!

The Giants have the division locked though, fo sure.

Your life depends on your answer to this question... Who will win the NFC East this year?

VERY impressive performance by your lot yesterday, amigo. They dominated most of that game, against a very good side. Maybe that will be a "launching pad" to greater things in the future... Certainly, confidence should be sky-high now.

Problem is that they do this so often - just like Liverpool. They raise their game against good teams, only to stumble against lesser opponents. Though they should grow from here, they're just too inconsistant to expect them to suddenly snap out of their habits of a decade + now... Clever money is still on the Giants.

That, and, as usual, your final 5 or 6 weeks are horrific.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

Houston may contend for a wild card spot this year. Dallas will win the NFC east, NY is overrated.

I can not wait until the Cowboys play San Diego.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

6 days until D-Day. The one I've been looking forward to all year.

St. Louis at Detroit. I honestly don't know what to expect.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

I would say the Lions have a fighting chance. St Louis may be worse then Oakland, and that's saying something.

It is definitely gonna be a hard game to pick in the prediction game.

We can't afford the salary that comes with another 1st pick 🙁

Like when Ireland won 143 successive Eurovision Song Contests..? We were trying to give the contest away in the end, 'cos we didn't want to host it any more.

The Giants are favorites mate - no issues with that. I expected them to win the division but I hope (just like I do with Liverpool and the league) that the Cowboys make it interesting.

Their inconsistency is what I've said will probably cost us a playoff spot, or a playoff 'run'. But if Romo continues to play at this level (ie smart decisions, mistake free football), we'll have a good chance as I really like our defense (Ware is back on track, and that means Spencer will be even more dangerous ... Brooking has been fantastic too and the CB kiddies have grown up since the fiasco against the Giants).

I hope this team has learned from the 13-3 and 9-7 seasons ... but I'm still standing by my early season prediction, they haven't won me over just yet.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

idiot:

The tweets were posted to the "Toonicon" account, an online alias the Star reported Johnson has said is his. The account includes a link to Johnson's personal Web site. Chiefs spokesman Bob Moore said the team could not verify that is Johnson's account.

The Twitter remarks were posted after San Diego routed the Chiefs (1-6).

One tweet read: "My father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches." That was followed by: "My father played for the coach from "rememeber the titans". Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn."

great news:

On Monday, Ware signed a six-year contract extension through 2015 worth $78 million, with $40 million guaranteed. The deal includes a $20 million signing bonus. The Cowboys gave Ware an additional $5 million for the 2009 season, increasing his base salary to $6.005 million.

Re: NFL Regular Season Thread

really enjoying watching the Eagles-Giants. Eli Manning, for the 3rd straight game, is looking like the Eli we all came to love his first few seasons in the league. The Giants D against is looking rather beatable ... Long may it last, long may it last ... I hope they crash as burn as quickly as they arrived ...
