Don't want to be an over dramatic bellend about this but hes a genuine concern now.

Really like him and on the whole he has been class for us but thats 3 mistakes now in our last 3 away games, not to mention some of his questionable punching and kicking.

I reckon he will be fine but it ain't good.
 
I think the biggest problem is we don't have a set back four... every game now the back 4 is different...

Once we get an established back line.. he will improve as he will then obtain confidence from the ability of his back 4...
 
like i just said, as good as there is at the instinctive reaction saves, shaky at the rest . Overall he does enough i guess . He really doesn't look a confident chap though .
 
He's got zero aerial presence in his own six yard box. Sander Westerveld Mk II. Good shot stopper, but average in other respects.

Yeah I'd agree with that, though he's better than Westerveld in all departments apart from his dog shit distribution.
 
Exactly. There isnt anything to worry about.
Worry about getting a solid back 4 infront of him.

His kicking is getting better and there is nothing wrong with his aerial presence.
Most teams and gks struggle vs the height and agression of the Stoke players
 
I get what people are saying about a solid back 4 but that it has nothing to do with letting pea rollers go straight through you.
 
I dont think the 3rd goal today is a mistake either. It looks stupid but the shot goes through Toures legs.

Some amazing saves after that.
 
I'd reckon he's made more wonder saves than conceded soft goals, so he's still ahead on the balance. His distribution has improve by miles though, I though he had a couple of fantastic goal kicks and punts today.

You don't need a settled back 4 to save the 3rd stoke goal or to catch negardo chip
 
His performances over the last few games have been a bit ropey and have had some mistakes creeping in, but overall I think he's an asset.
What annoys me the most about about him is him hoofing it long and giving up possession straight away, instead of passing it out to the defence for us to build. Pisses me off royally.
 
He can be a very good shot stopper and got us the 3 points on a couple of occasions, but he looks very ropey at time and not just in this game. Should've saved negredo's at city and eto's at chelsea. Some people overrate him simply because he's not reina. He's doing ok, but the jury's still out as far as i'm concerned.
 
Stokes third goal today is the only one id criticise him for, maybe Eto'o's goal too. He also made some stunning saves today, so this is premature.
