Sure - since the turn of the year, we have dominated teams and he's not been on the field for most of it.

I think he's most suited to be a DM - and that means he'll be Gerrard's back up (which will probably mean 20 starts next year worst case scenario) ... I said in the post match thread that he's just not right - those injuries are taking their toll. He's a very good squad option, but I think that's it to be honest (and that's not a bad thing)

Trouble is, Lucas concedes stupid, clumsy, unnecessary free kicks in dangerous areas - so bringing him on is actually taking a big risk!

He's fucking shit. He's always been fucking shit apart from about five minutes when he wasn't fucking shit and even then he was nearly fucking shit.

I think the point here is he is NOT a replacement for Gerrard as the deepest lying midfielder. Gerrard plays like Alonso used too. He tackles, covers and plays sublime passes that really undermine the oppositions defence. Lucas runs around a lot, kicks the opposition and passes the ball 5-10 metres. Rafa turned him into a poor man's Mascher and that's where he's stayed.

I didn't see it coming but Gerrard, Hendo and Allen are a pretty decent combo.
