is there any real update on injury?

Mirror are saying he's basically out for the next few games.

Hansern has twittered that he may play against Spurs.

Which is it?

The one thing I'm very worried about with his absence is that we'd get absolutely bullied with Allen and Lucas plus Coutinho+Alberto.
Would be a different story if our light weight midfielders (bar Coutinho) were Barca-like skilled, but they're not, so we'd be fucked by the stronger midfields.

We need Hendo, particularly right now when Gerrard's out.

Occasionally.... players take their chance and play out of their skin and surprise us.

Anyone remember Damian Plessis & his debit against Arsenal.

We have enough decent youngsters that can come in & have a crack.

Spurs ate not a model of consistency and are incredibly hyped up by the press.

That saying - I'll take a point on Sunday.

Reallllllly? If I guaranteed you now a draw on sunday you'd take it? Wouldn't you rather have a chance to win?

Nope. I would take the point too.

A) it stops Spurs gaining anything on us B) we'll roger them good at Anfield and 4/6 points against all of our Top 7 opponents is indeed title winning form C) Gerrard, Enrique and Sturridge are all out and all 1st teamers no question, so we will have a considerably weaker team vs Spurs.

I guess you have a point there....
I just think we have adequate cover and that this season we have a chance of getting to the top four since manu and spurs are mediocre and we shouldn't be afraid of games

I wouldn't class either spurs or Manu as mediocre mate. Spurs have new players who will eventually bed in and Manu have moyes who again will bed in and probably buy in January. I do think we will get top four, but mediocre they ain't.

Spurs have been excellent away from home. That tells me it's a mentality issue with the players, at some point I'd expect that to change, so I'm very wary to say the least.

It's a cliché, but first goal is incredibly important this match, if we score early that mentality damaged, if they do then we have a huge lack of experience in dealing with it given the injuries.

I know they won't be for long, but at the moment they aren't great and this is our chance.

Sorry, I misunderstood. At the moment, yep, they are far from great. A better time to play them.

If we are without Enrique, Gerrard, Henderson and Sturridge on Sunday, then I will take a point now.

Normally I'd say the same - but from the way Spurs have struggled against Fulham and Sunderland, I believe with a firing Suarez and Coutinho, we can score on their weakened defense ... I think our defense can keep them to 1-2 goals, and we'll score 3-4 ... We're going to beat them. Muller those bastards.

Indeed, unless going away to a top 5 European team in the CL, I can never understand the mindset of taking a point before even attempting to grab the 3. Injuries or not, I'd still fancy our chances of doing that dreary shower of bastards.

Where's the confidence lads? F..... that defeatest talk of accepting a point now. We're going for a smash and grab. All our injuries came at the worst possible time but we can only play with what we have and beat who we play. Bring it! We are Liverpool, get in!

Spurs are playing Anji on Thursday night. I know that they've already qualified for the next stage and that they have a wide squad, but still there must be some impact on their performance on Sunday. Here's hoping...

I think people are going a bit over the top about the "taking a point now" quote. Ideally a point away and a win at home is the top bracket that most top teams would hope for in the big games. Beat all the shite teams and better any poor results you do get in the corresponding fixtures.

Given the state of our midfield and the shortness of depth, it'll be a tough game regardless of their current form. Of course we should hope that Suarez can do them, but let's be realistic, a draw would be a decent result given we're lacking two big players.

I don't see Henderson being key to this. Sandro vs coutinho, flan vs Lennon and their back 4 vs Suarez will be key

So supposing Henderson is missing aswell. What would we have?

---------------Mignolet--------------
Johnson-Skrtel-Sakho-Flanno
----------Lucas---Allen-----------
--------------Coutinho------------
-Sterling----Suarez---Moses-

Personally I'd rather see what Alberto can do, but I reckon we're more likely to see the above.

Good news in that case.

I'd have Henderson as Gerrard's direct replacement in midfield alongside Lucas with Allen infront of them.
