Hendo.
I was very quick to write him off as just a player who runs a lot after watching a couple of games live and making OTT statements like "all he does it run and keep shape, doesn't add anything to the team" "he only plays one touch passes as he is unable to do anything else".
So happy to see this is incorrect - one of our most important players. He enables us to have such an expansive front line.
He was shit when you thought he was brilliant AND he was shit when you thought he was shit.Lucas. Thought he was shit then he was brill. Thought he was brill then he was shit.......
Suarez. After his antics in the previous WC (Handball for the Nigerian game) I felt he would be trouble. Well, he was a whole lot of trouble in the end, but damn some of his play made it worth it.
Going further back, Sami Hyypia. Granted I had never seen him play prior, and I wanted a big name signing for the defence that season. That is probably the biggest ever facepalm prediction from me
I'd say at the moment he's my favourite player. I was kind of the same when he first joined. I remember watching A League Of Their Own and Jack Whithall taking the piss out of him to Gerrard - Since then he's grown into a brilliant and vital player for us.
The biggest one I've been guilty of was none other than the King. I thought he was overrated at Celtic anyway, so when we signed him to replace Keegan I was not happy. There have been others, but none anywhere near as bad as that one.
In your case not quite in line with the theme of thread, Moyes.Anderson.....
If Markovic turns out to be as good as many of you think, I'll be wrong about him...
It's threads like these where I'd quite like to see Brenden post again. God only knows what he'd come up with..
It was Ghana.
