J. Cole is way better in my mind.
Honda did very well in an unfamiliar position at the World Cup, and his free kicks are great.
But he's not THAT special. Ordinary pace, ordinary ball control. He'll fight for the cause and run all day for his team but he's just not that great.
People in Japan are excited about him. He's a star right now. But only because of the world cup. He's never had the recognition as a quality player the way Nakata and to a lesser extent Nakamura had.

Besides, we need a left sided player with pace for a change.

Lost me Jason. Cheap as chips?
How much would he be , even if CSKA were willing to sell him. He is on a four year contract and cost them 6m Euro, has had a cracking World Cup and is one of the real finds of the competition (based on three of four games that is) I would suspect he is going to be in double figure by now, and ceratinly would if there was a bidding war, or have I missed something?
What I would say is that half his purchase would probably be funded by shirt sales in Japan and the Far East, and open up lots of merchandising opportunities,
