I must say he had a nice appearance today as well. Set up Sturridge twice with good passes.

That long ball to Sturridge was quite similar to his pass for Shelvey in the U21 game. He put himself about well and supported well again, I thought he was unlucky not to play, but I know he had a knock.

Allen sure, but not lucas. Rodgers seems to want to give lucas a chance to recover his best form. At the moment its lucas and gerrard guaranteed and the rest fighting for the final spot.

He certainly has, but his movement seems limited since his injury, particularly on the turn, players are gliding past him far too easily at times. He does seem to be getting a bit of bite back though, and some of his passing and skill yesterday was a joy to watch.
