Too many key players not performing is a big part of the problem.
Heh. I really like both of those theories.Absolutely , theres 2 explanations for me:
1. The squad hates Mourinho and have given up.
2. Chelsea are so scared stiff by Dr. Eva leaving and potentially reporting what they've been doing that they've had to stop their doping programme.

It's clearly his gut (Ross does have an impressive gut after all!).They looked very average against Swansea already (before Dr. Eva left) ... Is this your gut speaking? Or something that has been discussed?

However to not accept the possibility that doping/blood spinning/etc are commonplace in football considering the whole Spanish doctor debacle & blatant subsequent cover up (with the implicit help of the authorities, in public!) is nuts.

Which again leads to Mourinho & his massive, massive, flaw. While that would be great, they were still doing shit when she was there. I'd say it's a combination of your first point and poor form, as well as too many players past their peak.
He takes a team on an upward swing and usually leaves before the downward side is my take on that .
Its fair to say Terry and Ivanovic are of an age where its not terribly surprising that they've declined considerably. Falcao has been done for a while.
Fabregas might the latest example of a player who burst on the scene at 17 running out of steam in his late 20's
But Hazard, Oscar, Costa and Matic's form is curious.
It seems like the transfer decisions they've made for the last few years are costing them now.
Or Mourinho lost his magic wand
I bet he wishes they didnt let Lukaku go. That will be one of the worst decisions he's made. A long with De Bruyne.

It's the transfers, deffo. I don't genuinely know what say Mourinho has, but it seems pretty clear some are very much endorsed by him, and some clearly aren't. And I'm not sure that's really changed much (Shevchenko). Emenalo clearly has a very big remit.
Mourinho's shipped out players like Cuadadro, Schurrle, De Bruyne, Mata, Luiz, but there doesn't seem to have been enough quality brought in. Yeah, they tried very hard for Stones who is a fantastic player, but they ended up with Bodolijji (that's not his name, but I don't care) for about £3m, and also Baba Rahman, who he hasn't played much. And the dismal Falcao.
So he's left with essentially exactly the same players he had last season. Very risky.
This seems to be the common theme.I suppose a Chelsea win tonight is probably the best result for us but I hope they get battered.
With a game in hand , but still.
We're approaching the halfway point of the season, and they've won 4 games in the league.
I dont watch them play so I've no idea whats going wrong. But I have theory anyway
Chelsea haven't been unlucky! They've been mostly Shite every time I see em (and I watch them a lot). Slow ponderous play, wasteful in possession, and an inability to communicate defensively.I've watched a fair bit of them and they have been massively unlucky in a lot of games.
Once they get a couple of wins they will shoot up the table. They have a superb set of players.
