Bobby's back

Yeah it was a much better performance from him today. Hopefully this is him turning a corner because we really need everyone contributing as much as possible.

I hope Klopp rotates the 4. We play well with 3, particularly if Bobby is firing, and as we can see, our players are overworked.

If he plays 3 of the 4 in each hard /important match, that will help keep some degree of freshness, will create some competition and will reduce the chances of any of them getting injured.

Im glad hes inching his way back to his best form but you'd still have to say that with everybody fit that Mané Salah and Jota deserve to start ahead of him. Obviously with the number of fixtures we will play in the next 6 weeks everybody will get rotated at some point so he will still get plenty of games but he should not be consisered an automatic starter anymore.

As an out and out attacker no question. But I believe Klopp sees Bobby as the glue sticking it all together. Jota doesn’t do that so we’d need maybe Thiago or Hendo playing.

Sums up this season when I saw the thread title and presumed he had injured himself.

But yes, he was much better against Leicester. Hopefully it continues.

[article]Jurgen Klopp admits he was “really emotional” when Roberto Firmino scored in Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Leicester.

Firmino has come under scrutiny in recent weeks due to a dip in form, a lack of goals and the flying start of Diogo Jota.

The 29-year-old scored his second goal of the season and his 48 passes, 41 successful passes and six shots against Leicester were the most he has managed in any Premier League game this campaign.

Klopp has never wavered in his support of the Brazilian and insists his game is about far more than goals.

But he did admit to celebrating the striker’s goal more than others after he was visibly buzzing on the touchline.

“Scoring was always important for Bobby but he is a complete football,” Klopp said.

“Football is like an orchestra and if you have different people for instruments, some of them are louder but all are important for the rhythm. Bobby can play without [goals] as well.

“We always celebrate goals but this one was really emotional. The players read the newspapers and they saw some criticism [of Firmino].”[/article]

Such a pleasure to watch him like this. I'd almost forgotten how good he can be.

Even in the stand, those teeth showing.

He must be a dream to play with when he's like this (which is usually is)
