Has there EVER been a player who is injured as often as Aurelio? I can't even remember Kewell getting as many injuries? Ledley King perhaps but at least he has only one, permanent, injury.

i could understand it more if it was a recurring injury but it's not. it seems every mechanism in his body is on the verge of collapse.

Degen, Woodgate?

Surely there is a maximum limit for the number of times a person can get injured before he dies?
Guess he has many, many hit points.

Agger has played 94 games since he joined in 06, and Aurelio has played 85. There's not much in it. Although Agger was here 6 months before him.

To be fair to Agger, Roy Hodgson dropped him because he was a rubbish left back. That would have given him a few extra games...providing he didn't get injured.

Yeah, maybe, but anyone standing by one and not the other, is wrong. I can't understand how anyone can stand by either after less than 20 games a season each. I won't be sorry to see either go, in spite of the fact that when they're fit they're good players.

Agger elbowed Torres in the face and deserves special treatment.

Uh oh...

You all forget about Jamie Redknapp?

"Jamie didn't play a single match in 2000/2001 due to series of injuries over the years that had taken their toll and when he returned in 2001/2002, he lasted only 8 games before he was injured again. "

We bought Kewell to replace him on the treatment table after he left, and then Torres filled in for a bit until Agger and Fab took it in turns to keep the table warm, its a specialist position!

At least Anderton had a few years early on where he wasn't injured so much. It seems like Aurelio hasn't played that much for anyone!
I know you like impersonating a Doc but that doesn't make you qualified to make a diagnosis.

Notes with interest that the great Sylvain Marveaux, with 50 league games in the last 3 seasons (5, 35, 10), wasn't in the Newcastle squad against the Gunners.

Bullet dodged?

Aurelio must be a great help to the medical staff, there isn't a month goes by without he consults them with a new and different condition. He must be better than any training course.

On his day he is excellent and it must be galling for him that his professional life has been blighted by his body's limitations.

Hahaha

Anderton gets a bad press

From 92-04 his EPL appearance record was:

34-37-37-8-16-15-32-22-23-35-20-20

Pretty reasonable really.

It's actually Agger 137 and Aurelio 131 in total.

Yeah, looks like mine were just the league stats. Either way it makes for pretty poor reading for both players.
