I think Adam would be ok with a half decent DM beside him. Lucas injury really left us short (5 foot 8 inches to be precise) in that department.

EDIT: Not that Jay isn't half decent, it's just that I think he is slightly out of position at DM.

Hes certainly done well, but not pulled up many trees either. Hes an exceptionally capable member of the squad though.

If he was Brazilian with shit hair he'd have threads on here 100 pages long calling him the greatest midfielder to ever grace the club.

true fact.

Shelvey has the drive, dynamism and passing range of a young gerrard.

Haterz clearly don't know the game and can suck on my chod

This much is true. As Vladders would say, "if his name Spearinho".

no he wouldn't.

Yes he would. Just like if he was better looking and looked more like an athlete and came from somewhere Mediterranean or from South America, he'd be held in alot higher esteem.

Let's face it, in recent years, if you've been 16/17/18 and played for our club and resided from Spain, you were already nailed on as the new whoever who plays for Barcelona.

I can't join in with the celebration of a Liverpool player's injury however I do also hope that Shelvey gets a run in the team. He's only going to get better for Liverpool and could become a midfield fixture for the next decade.

Johnson has been such a huge miss for us, no one will admit that though of course.

We have most definitely missed him. While Kelly has been off the pitch injured.

add that to being comfortable on the ball, great shot, very good free kick taker, good movement, scores goals. And he doesn't have a lack of confidence like some other players we have bought.

Johnson a big miss? I read somewhere (on here) the other day that he's had a 'great' season.

What have I missed? A goal against Chelsea?

Yea get well soon Charlie, ignore the retarded comments

Johnson is continuously underrated on here he's been a great player for us, he's better than the reliable but overrated Kelly. It seems everyone is eager to jump on the England fans Johnson is a shocking defender shit, he's not an he's a big part of our forward play, our interchange between defence and midfielder and he's a good defender, I can't understand the hate for him.

He's always the first to be unfairly critisised!

sadly there's a certain pool of players its fashionable to criticise, i think some people have a flow chart to who they criticise

did charlie adam play?

yes -- his fault
no-------------------------- did jordan hendersion play? yes -- his fault
no ------------------------------- did glen johnson play? yes -- his fault
no ------------------ downing/kuyt etc etc

Or we don't like having an attacking fullback who can completely messes up a lot defensively and doesn't overlap on the outside that much, rather cuts in and can't cross. But hey ho, because he has a very good first touch, is classy on the ball and can use both feet you love him. I don't think he improves the team and attacking play as much as you think. I see him as another good attacking player, but he doesn't do what I want a fullback to do. I wish Enrique was a better crosser of the ball too.
