So I assume he's staying, yes? I've only really read the club's line on this in which they said he was returning on Monday and looking forward to the upcoming season. Is that the only statement there has been or has the man come out and said anything himself?

I was one of the people on here getting increasingly frustrated with his silence, but I'm happy that it looks like he's staying. However, he didn't seem too keen to commit to us, and correct me if I'm wrong, he hasn't actually come out and said he's definitely staying himself has he? I hope we don't find ourselves in a similar situation as Mascherano where we have promised him a move next summer.

I don't know, it all just seems a bit weird to me. Hopefully he'll release one of his statements next week that makes us all feel cheery again and commit to the club.

It's a little different to the Masher situation in that Torres is probably happy enough to stay here as long as we're competing for trophies. We basically need to have a successful season, get back into the CL and hope the promised investment means a considerable sum of cash is spent on the squad. Otherwise, he'll leave.

I'm disappointed that he hasn't squashed the rumours but he also hasn't said that he's leaving.
