Dier will appeal to quite a few foreign clubs. He's multi-lingual, plays in a role where there aren't that many other decent players, and is at a good age for a big move. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he attracts several bids after the Euros.
More like varying degrees of failure IMHO. Appaz he came through the ranks as a CB, but he never looked Premiership standard there IMO and he was even worse at fullback (where TBF he didn't want to play). He's been a revelation at DM though, no question.
Yeah, good versatile player that you'd love to have but IMO he's vastly overrated as a DM. He's decent a picking it up and keeping it simple, but the basic defensive functions of tracking midfield runners, and negating space in certain areas he can get caught out on.
That second Iceland goal the other night being a decent example.

He's got something though. I agree about him as a DM, I think he's just been shoehorned there in the anchor role, but occasionally his passing from deep can be really good, long and short, but sometimes erratic too. He's got alot of qualities though - heading, setpieces, looks like he can chip in with a few goals, so it'll be interesting to see how he develops.
