Gerrard was superb.
He got a very raw deal in the Mom thread.
i remember a piccy on here last year where borini was all muscle and hendo looked like rodney trotter, I am glad hendo has hit the gym.
He is a real talent and must stay in the team or bench ready to replace Stevie when he retires

Jones - 6, looked slightly out of position especially for their second goal but also made a few important challenges.
Johnson - 6, not his best and he does struggle with form at the moment. Still some fine moments going forward
Carra - 7, as the rest of the defense not at his best when defending set-pieces otherwise a mostly calm and assured display
Agger - 8, one of his best games in a long while. Should've done better with the block on their second but otherwise alert, aware and very elegant and calm on the ball.
Enrique - 7, faded slightly in the second half but started out like the powerful, skillful player he can be. I like him a lot.
Downing - 7, important, albeit slightly lucky, goal. Struggled at times to make an impact but has become much better over the course of 90 minutes. Deserves his place.
Gerrard - 8, Cpt. Fantastic, almost like in the old days. Energetic, classy, strong display capped with a fine penalty. Shared MOTM.
Lucas - 5, out of sorts and of the pace. Really worried about his future, likeable lad, but too often not strong enough to hold the DM position and when he then also fails to pass to a teammate one time too often he leaves me well frustrated.
Coutinho 7, Started like a boss. A Brazilian boss. Struggled to make an impact in the 2nd and was imo rightly subbed. He does look like a bargain to be honest, great little player
Sturridge - 6, First half was the worst I've seen from him, but he improved after the break. Despite not being at the races today he still makes space for Suarez and as a unit we look more balanced with him upfront as well.
Suarez - 8, Constant threat, constant pain in the arse, constant danger. We are extremely lucky to have him, on form I don't think there's a better attacking pllayer in the Premiership. His errors throughout a game is easily made up for by all his great efforts. Shared MOTM with Gerrard.

Some of his passing in the first half was really poor (although with the pass for Suarez he completely redeemed himself). Although giving him a 5 is a tad harsh. I thought he was very influential yesterday.
