I think for all of Rodger's childish visions of possession and passing, our game today will depend completely on Coutinho running with the ball and controlling our attacks like McManaman used to do. In fact since McManaman fucked off, we've never had any alternative way of attacking teams. It's just been a bunch of fanciful talk and ideas which in the end boiled down to nothingness balls that thankfully dropped at the feet of a world class striker.
