Brad Smith was singled out by Harry Redknapp ahead of Australia's AFC World Cup qualifier at home to Jordan on Tuesday.
Jordan coach Harry Redknapp heaped praise on Australia full-back Brad Smith, claiming the Liverpool youngster has a big future at Anfield.
Speaking at the official news conference ahead of Tuesday's AFC World Cup qualifier in Sydney, Redknapp was at his charismatic best as he talked up his side's chances of pulling off a shock win.
Redknapp also singled out 21-year-old Smith, who made his debut for Liverpool in December, after he was left impressed by what the Socceroos produced in their 7-0 drubbing of Tajikistan last week.
"They are a threat. The full-backs get forward, I was impressed the other night with the boy [Brad] Smith," the former Tottenham boss told reporters on Monday.
"I think he is going to be a big player for Liverpool in the future.
"They have a bit of pace in their team as well. They are a dangerous team, there's no doubt about that but I think we're a good team as well."[/article]

Preston North End defender Bailey Wright has nine caps for Australia and is having a great season in the Championship with The Lilywhites.
He spoke to SBS this week and had this to say about the Liverpool talent:
“You look at Brad Smith – he’s done really well in the cup competitions for Liverpool this season and he’s definitely get something about him.
“He’s a good player and good lad. We actually made our debuts together (in London) against Saudi Arabia (in 2014) and he’s got a lot of pace about him and a good cross too."[/article]

[article]As much as I am itching to get to Rogic,
it is the performance of Smith that is the real story of the Adelaide Oval match.
An exceptionally strong match and - admitting the defensive duties were not onerous, to say the least - experience with Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp will ensure this aspect is sound or improves but with the ball, wow!
Fantastic left foot, great qualities. Quick, so very quick. Aggressive, attack minded, suits Australia perfectly.
Smith’s energy and willingness to get forward were superb and, once he got there, his delivery and precision was of the highest order.
Very accurate, always in between defence and goalkeeper, cutbacks on the ground at speed (not bounced into players), forward passes with strength into space at the appropriate weight. All very good.
Smith has put pressure on the other left-back candidates, which is excellent because he will push players like Alex Gersbach to focus and improve their own game to compete. With these young players emerging, the potential for an aggressive, attacking game from the wide areas is very rich.
Josh Risdon has a similar mindset and physical qualities on the right, as does Jason Geria. The young are now pushing the experienced, and it is fantastic.[/article]
