Khl, in an ideal world I'd agree with you about Lucas, but in the current climate selling him may just make the difference between affording and not affording some real quality.

I can't see Babel or Dossena achieving much higher sums than Voronin. Babel maybe a bit shit quite a of the the time, but I'm prepared to stick with him for a while yet. There's always that faint hope of one moment of brilliance, which I find more appealing than constant mediocrity/shitness.

So you prefer Agger. Fair enough, but halfway through a season its not a case of one or the other. We can have both. Also, as I'm sure you have noticed, Agger gets injured. A lot.
Skrtel may make the odd mistake (personally I think he's a good player) but if we get rid now and don't replace him, which we probably wouldn't be able to, what would happen the next time Agger gets injured?

He hasn't made too many mistakes (unlike Skrtel). He has played as a defensive midfielder, ably too.. Of course there were games when he was rubbish and in most games he was pretty average. All I can ask from a cheapish young central midfielder is to be able to step up and be counted when called upon. He has certainly done that. He is not a creative player but that is not his fault, that's why we spent 18 million pounds on Aquilani. If we struggled to create goals, it is very easy to blame it on Lucas, but why not the other 4 attacking players? I don't really care much for Lucas really. If Aquilani gets himself fit, he'll soon drop to the bench, but if say he got injured again, we know Lucas will step up and won't fuck up (again, unlike Skrtel).
Skrtel cost us points, he's not good enough to start for us, I'd sooner rid Skrtel as for me he's a horrible player, who has no business being at Liverpool.
