Sack him

Translation, "I want Rafa at all costs because Rafa loves Liverpool and he'll help us beat Athletico Bilbao in the Europa League"

pretty much.
I'm done LTW, I'm tired of us being embarrassing. I don't want to go through that again.

If we don't get any points from manu and the arse, I think the board will be forced into either going back into the transfer market in January or replacing Rodgers.
Which is the least risky option?

Rodgers should start having the team press the opposition, worked well last season. Standing off hasn't stopped the other team from scoring. When we get in the oppositions face we've looked more capable of making something happen in attack. But we've not done it much this season. Weird.
I wouldn't risk given Rodgers another penny in the transfer market..

After the amount of money he is spent on the dross we have.

The only truly decent signing he had made is constantly on the injury table..

Lose those games against Arsenal and Man U, he is defo gone..

You lost all perspective, ninja dude. You are the watch in pulp fiction waiting to get out of Mr Walken to see the light of day.

the point of rafa is that he's one of the only people we could get who might be able to persuade top players to join us. it's a huge thing to consider at this point because we have absolutely no leadership in the squad.

The thing I felt about tonight was that I wasn't at all surprised that we were so bad. Angry at time during the game and frustrated with the players and the lineup but it all seemed so predictable. And that's the way we played as well. In the first half they knew where we were going to pass before we did. The effort that Basel put in in the first half put our players to shame, It's one thing being paid more than the opposition and playing in a higher quality league than the opposition but the least you have to do against any team is show some effort and the first half especially was so short of effort it was embarassing. If Rodgers can't at least get the players to work their collective bollocks off even when we aren't playing well then the writings on the wall for him.
I was watching a youtube compilation of Danny Ings last night ( I know anyone can look good on youtube compilations) and even though he looked decent but certainly not top class , he looked far better than any of our strikers barring sturridge. And the lad is basically a championship striker. Lambert, Borini and Balotelli just aren't good enough to play for Liverpool and have any sort of long term impact and whoever decided to buy any or all of them shouldn't have the chance to waste more money on other strikers. Whether it was Rodgers or the coveted Transfer Committee.

Sack Rodgson, and pretty fucking please make sure he brings Pascoe With him for his Next job at Watford or something.... Gerrard can take the reign. We are sorted then.

Yep and that's when Chelsea told Di Matteo to fuck off.
The day I put my club on a parallel with that fucking shitehole is the day I give up on football.
Speaks volumes of the morern Liverpool fan that we look to a billionaires plaything as the measure of the way to do things.

Im not saying Mr Rodgers is the answer. At this stage the jury is way the fuck out, and it looks like he may be 50 feet from an iceberg with no means to turn it around. Honestly id give him the summer and the first few months of next season to get it right. If by say end October we havnt looked like serious title contenders id be in favour of change before Jan 16.

But the man who sorted out Hodgson and Kennys mess. Who took us from 11th to 2nd and back into the champions league. The man who overhauled an ageing bloated playing staff and has replaced it with (yes the jury is still out) Sterling, Markovic, Coutinho, Sturridge, Moreno, Can, Allen etc. This man deserves a full season to correct the problems. Some of which im happy to admit are his own doing. I really hate our Goalkeeper hes awful, hes a small club goalkeeper, and I hate the way we are loaded with small technical players and have no pace and power. No explosive dynamism like a Yaya or Costa. We have a lot of work to do. But hes a man whos learning from his own mistakes. Hes dropped Gerrard 3 times now. Thats massively brave. He has stopped playing him at DM thats an admission of his own culpability.
Hes brought Lucas back in, thats shown me he isnt an arrogant stubborn tosspot.
Theres a lot to like about Mr Rodgers (ridiculous manager soundbites aside) and he got last season so right that im willing to hope and keep the faith that this season is the blip and not that.
Suarez and Sturridge in this side and we are challenging for the title again. Neither being out is his fault.

Herr Onceared is spot on. All the talk about getting rid is silly. Give the man a chance to resolve the situation we're in.

We don't deserve to be in the CL, neither the players nor the manager or the coaching staff. We weren't good enough, the team isn't good enough. The strange thing is, the Europa League might be our level and it may provide the european experience that Rodgers and this set of players need to play in the CL.

This season isn't over yet, concentrate on form and win a trophy or two this season.

We can give him until the end of the season. However 1 of the major problems is that the players he bought are just not good enough. We had spent 110 millions, the wage bill is through the roof, no champions league football. That's going to take years to rectify I'm afraid. We will start all over again in mid table mediocrity shipping out shite players bit by bit. Are you prepared to give him another 3 years just because he is "learning from his mistakes"?

Im prepared to give him more time because I think its the right way to run a football club.
If he fails he fails right?
But for the record we are 1 point off Arsenal, ahead of Spurs, Ahead of Everton, 2 points behind Newcastle, weve closed the gap on Southampton by 7 points in the last 3 games, closed on Chelsea by 3 points.......

Its a wierd season and we are still in with a shout of top 4 and still have 3 cups to play for.
Its pretty disgraceful to talk about sacking the man I think.
Not that im right of course maybe you all are.
For me a seasons end is the time to judge success and failure.

'Our performance levels need to improve'. He'd be better not talking after games if he insists on this kind horrible waffle. It needs to be judged at the end of the season, clearly, and in the meantime he needs to show a hell of a lot of humility and show he's trying to learn from his mistakes (and not rely on excuses - in his first season it was 'we have a wafer-thin squad'; now it's 'we've got a bigger squad but apparently it's still wafer-thin'). But he's had some shit luck so far. It wasn't his fault Suarez left. It wasn't his fault Sturridge got injured. We've all got to wait and hope he gets out of the rut.

I think he got the lineup wrong, but I don't think he can be accused of not budging on his tactics, he brought in Lucas and pushed Gerrard up several games ago now, as everyone wanted. He dropped his big money centre back and brought in Toure again, not that this should really be congratulated in the bigger picture, but I think he's been pretty fair over giving players games to get it right and taking them out the firing line when needed. I think he's got too many players in some positions though and that's shocking when we don't have a striker to rely on.

He might have too many players for certain positions, but he has absolutely no leaders for any position anymore. it really says it all when Jordan Henderson is the vice captain of the Club. Nice lad and all that, but he is no leader. We have noone going out to win the war. Noone With the attitude of "no team should beat us at Anfield at my shift!!!". Young exciting players are allways fun, but they need to learn to be kicked around at training and we don't have that in our Squad. When they noone is mean to them in training they get paralyzed when People are mean to them in games.

How many games have we lost at Anfield? I get we need leaders, I'm with you on that totally, but I think the reason we've lost alot of games is because we can't score and the defense is all over the place, having leaders is one thing, having capable players in key areas is another. Henderson at least wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for the shirt, he might be in poor form, but that's besides the point.

Problem I have with that is you are prepared to give him two more transfer windows..

Do you think the owners would give him any more money to waste.. ? Brendon in the transfer market is like sending your wife out to go buy that big wide screen TV you always wanted, for her only to comeback with a Cheap Polaroid Model from Tescos's... Yes it serves it purpose, but on the face of it, its shite..

I would not trust him with another penny and I really don't think the owners will too.. If he gets the stay of execution in January, I imagine the only funds he will get will be from Player Sales..

A fresh approach needs to given to the club asap, in order for this great club of ours to move forward... Giving Brendon time to fuck it up even further is not the answer..

The biggest problem with the players Brendon bought, none of them strengthen the starting eleven or where an improvement on what we already had..

He bought squad players... to attempt to strengthen the squad.. £120 million on Squad players.. Shocking..

FFS, he changed his tactics when he had a knife to his throat.
Several here saw that Gerrard wasn't right for that position months ago, but he kept beating that dead horse.
So when Carra and Neville start talking about it on SKY that's when he realises that he shouldn't be playing Gerrard as a fucking controller/quarterback or whatever excuse you want to use.

Okay so a quick headcount, Jono, Modo and Skully want Rafa to come back and save the day? Just three is it?

No I just want somebody to manage a team that has a bit of tactical nouse about him and has an inklinin of how to play a side he has picked as the starting 11..
