He should have addressed the keeper issue in summer and he finally seems to have given up on Gerrard in DM thank fuck, but ultimately there isnt much a manager can do when he has ONE world class player and he leaves and ONE other proven goalscorer and he dies. Not really Mr Rodgers fault.
