I do worry about the fouls he gives away though - look at that one on the edge of the box that could easily have led to a Wolves equaliser. 3 fouls, of the 15 we conceded, in the 20 mins he was on.

It's easy to think he can only defend and tackle. Even against Wolves, i was watching Endo very closely, and there were more than a few occasions, his teammates chose not to pass to him, even though he was in a good position. Yet he didn't let his head droop once, instead it only made him go all samurai Goku-like.

Fair - but I suspect he would be a bit more considered if playing 90 versus 15/20. Also worth noting he generally comes on when we have ceded pressure and control to the opposition meaning there is a lot more need to be making tackles.

I'm more bothered what Liverpool turn up more than what they can do to us. We haven't been in a performance worthy of being the top team in the league for a while now, which makes these upcoming games feel like a complete lottery. The fact that Villa, City and Newcastle are also wildly inconsistent, and often a bit shit, only adds to the uncertainty around these fixtures. I've usually got some sense of how a game will go, but for all of these, no fucking idea. My gut feeling is they'll come down to one or two moments and we just have to hope that having the likes of Salah, VVD, Ali, etc, will make those moments count. None of these teams can rely on such a trio of players. Another crumb of comfort is we have the best away record in the league. We're not reliant on Anfield and that should stand us in good stead for this tricky run.
