Why is Hansen (MOTD) calling it marginally offices? Suarez didn't get the ball when Lucas passed to Meirless ... As he wasn't interfering with the play, why are they claiming his position is marginally offside (which it was if he gets the ball)?

Presumably he's working on the basis that as he's in the mix so to speak he's interfering with play as he's occupying one of the defenders?
the second goal was onside but the first goal wasn't, but that's justice for the goal wrongly chalked off by carroll.

A player is still offside even if he's not interfering with play. The fact that he's not interfering means the goal should be allowed, but it doesn't stop the player being offside in the first place.
