Right there may be a few of you who might agree with me but there also may be a lot of you who disagree. In my opinion Liverpool FC don't need to sign any overpriced or overpaid players especially if they don't want to come to Anfield. You can name quite a few players here (Mkhitaryan,Willian).
There does seem to be this feeling among some fans that teams need to bring in a big name to start competing. I feel that we need hungry players willing to come in and play for the team and for the badge.
These are the players who are going to win us trophies and help us start challenging for the league title again. In January nobody was looking at Coutinho but since he has come to LFC he has made an impression on everyone in the league with teams like Stoke realizing that they have to double up on him when he gets the ball and for a reported £8.5m, I think we can all agree that he was a bargain.
So with everything that has happened so far this summer, let us remember that United started winning the league with players who were relatively unknown and made their names there (Beckham, the Nevilles, Giggs) so maybe we should start looking at the players who have shown potential but have disappeared into the shadows of bigger name players (Sturridge @ Chelsea)
The future looks bright and to be honest if we win lots of trophies with these new young recruits then when their wages start exceeding 150k nobody who supports the club will begrudge them their just desserts.
