As i'm a nice mod I edited the post for you.. we cant have the entire SCM clan passing out due to lack of oxygen from reading your posts... 😛
Anyway back to your point.. unfortunately in this day and age to win anything.. Money talks.. this is the Premiership not the Dutch Eredivse.. and unless we spend big to bring in key players we ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Their is currently no attraction for big players to play for LFC at the moment.. and the only way you can get them here is to pay the money...
Tell me a team over the last ten years that has not won the title by having no money pumped into them ?? Even getting into the champions league now it requires Money... Big clubs are after short term fixes to get into the champions league and win trophies..
Yes I agree we need decent foundations in place to bring through great youngsters and yes you can pick up bargains along the way. But you only have to look at Arsenal to see that really doesn't work if you want to compete in the long term.

Actually I will say one thing re. signings, if Suarez stays for the whole season (which is looking highly likely at this stage) then THAT was our best signing of the Summer because we all thought he was gone, a £60m world class striker.
Our forward line is still damn sexy : Ibe/Sterling, Countinho, Suarez, Sturridge, Aspas .. like it a lot. Fuck Willian (£36m - are you fucking kidding ? It was supposed to be a Fire Sale and they've paid more than Anzhi did !) now Ibe gets his chance.
Mignolet, Toure and Aspas all improve the team. We'll still probably get one or two more and it will have been a B+ window without over-paying. Stable footing going forward and strongly in the race for 4th.
