Nervous finish but job done. Full marks to lucas though, the boy did ok.
when gerrard plays in central midfield you lose more than you gain imho.

We've missed the Cl qualifiers, a point I've made countless times, so we've missed the general preparation it's given us in recent years.
Thought Lucas had a good, composed performance and despite some hurried stuff at times, some of our attacking play was promising.

What more can one ask for, a win and three points in the bag. Atleast it wasn't bad because we didn't lose points but on the other hand we could have been better. Still very happy we won a game on the first night out in europe! YNWA

This had all the ingredients to be a banana skin for us. Unknown Hungarian's. supposedly the group whipping boys, and away in one of the great European theaters, against one of Europe's giants.
Three points in the first game, that will do me.
A word on Lucas, not going to be a great player and likely to be on the bench when Aqualani is fit, the best option we have at the moment, at least he tries and works hard in an attempt to cement his place. Unlike Babel who, up until a fair little cameo tonight never looks interested.
Rafa need to put Dirk out on the right again and put Yossi in the middle.
