10 pages of replies, about 75% of which focus on the pundits and commentators.

Are they really that debatable, or do we have the most paranoid bunch of supporters ever?
Do u feel the posters on this forum are focusing too much on pundits and commentators?
I think that's a fair assumption to make, yes Frank.
lol fair enough. i think some fans can get too caught up with what pundits and commentators have to say.
Remember they may feel they have to be a little controversial(pundits most likely) so as to attract the viewers.

Do you think supporters of other teams spend three-quarters of their respective match threads discussing Jim Beglin, Clive Tyldesley, and the victimisation we receive from the London-centric Media?
ha, no i wouldn't have thought so.
Liverpool fans are sometimes accused of being over sensitive when it comes to what people say about the club...
could be some truth in that.
Possibly.

I just think in this instance we're getting worked up over the opinions of Clive Tyldesley, Tony Cascarino, Lee Dixon, Mark Bright and Jim Beglin, which is fucking idiotic.

As far the match itself, would any one say it was one of the worst games of football they've seen?
It was a dreadful match.

I've seen MANY more dreadfully dull Liverpool games in the past two or three years. And due to work and time zone differences I don't necessarily get to see a large proportion of the games. Not that it was a thriller but there's been worse. (A happy coincidence I was given the afternoon off. Watched the game, had a nap, went kayaking. Result!)

That's not really very illuminating, unless you've noticed other teams getting the same kind of frenzied inquisitions that we get via the likes of Keys, Stelling, Redknapp, Townshend and Co. Out of the so-called big four there's only one that gets over-analysed regularly regardless of the result.

That was the dullest game I've watched in years. I've no more to say on the game. Like Tomkins, it exhausts me just thinking about it.

The Shanks and Paisley eras saw some truly mind-numbing matches at this stage in the season, because we could pass back to the keeper in those days - and boy did we make the most of it! We'd nick a goal and then shut up shop. Clemence to Hansen to Thompson or Lawrenson, back to Clemence, out to Hansen, back to Clemence, ad infinitum. But all there'd be on TV was a clip of a goal on Football Focus. Somehow that seems appropriate even now.

Exactly so, last night was a festival of football compared to some of those games. We never minded, we never cared (I still don't), it's winning that is important

That wasn't the most thrilling European game to be at. Our passing was sloppy but it was still a win, no one got injured and, luckily, I missed the commentary on the box.

Still, thanks for the ticket Sunny - much appreciated.
