For those that thought it was soft or not a foul:

Ben Foster on Man City's disallowed goal at the weekend: "What I have to say is it’s a foul, it’s as simple as that, it’s a foul, and I’ll explain why. Until you’ve been a goalkeeper, until you’ve taken your feet off the ground and you have your eyes on that ball, and you’re putting your hands up there, the second somebody not even grabs your arm, and I mean this, if somebody gives you a little nudge in your waist, in your leg, anything, your body just moves.

I thought was a foul, still don’t get why there was so much discussion about. It’s written in the law, and unlike a few times this season, refs followed it.

Agreed, and I dont think its soft either given that he obviously puts his arm on Alissons shoulder.

There's so much discussion because the media love to ride it. It's their whipping boy. You can see the disappointment on their faces whenever there is nothing contentious and they actually have to try and dissect the match.

Was so obvious that it was a common trained tactic when the same player I think then pushed Ali effectively into the own goal later on, think Akanji. Ali was dodgy through out so didn’t help.
 
It just shows the amount of stupidity there is at pgmol. There's tons of that type of contact on keepers at corners, and it's not always punished. I remember it happening to Sa
