Adam, even Spearing. I've never been convinced by a Lucas/Gerrard partnership to be honest.

As i said before, it could and should work in certain games against the lesser sides at Anfield but not against United/Chelsea/City etc and in the majority of away games.

The suggestion is that it's a bit lightweight, and you think Adam would improve it in that respect? Have you ever seen Adam play? Defending is not one of his strong points, and his body seems to shut down after about 60 minutes. I could understand if you were suggesting we need more creativity, but if you're talking about adding metal then you're way off the mark.

Besides, whatever I think of Lucas, he's put in some cracking performances against the Mancs in recent seasons.

Adam isn't great at defending but sometimes it's good to have another body in midfield to help control the game.

Adam Gerrard and Lucas could win that midfield battle. Who do you leave out though, if that's the case? I'd be tempted to drop Carroll for Adam.
