Klopp rates Stewart highly appaz

I am starting to appreciate what he does more and more as well. Solid positioning, puts his body on the line and his passing is improving too, as we saw just now with his through-balls for Origi and Firmino. A nice, unexpected addition to the team.

Only negative are the injuries.
Milner to have a scan on a heel injury.
No word on Lovren yet

Its a friendly nothing to get excited about.

Few weeks ago I said we had too big a squad, now I think we might not have big enough of a squad. Klopp will have his players run ragged.

If we can get a LB in and a midfielder (ideally central) I genuinely think we have an outside shot at the title.

No reason why not.

I agree on the LB.

But I think we have enough in CM with the amount of games we're playing this year (with no europe). Currently, we have Lucas, Gruijic, Wijnaldum, Can, Henderson, Milner. In a 4-3-3, even Coutinho and Lallana can play there. Whilst I'd ideally want an upgrade on Lucas, I think we can have a shot at the title with what we have.

Have you guys heard yourself? It's friggin friendly, just like last week when some of you were about to throw the towel in. It's friendly and bares no indication of how the whole season will pan out.

I'm not looking at just today's friendly. It's great that we've got good confidence ahead of the new season as it's vital we get a good start.

But besides that, in terms of my optimism, I'm actually looking at the fact that I think we have a better team (and manager) than the current champions and the fixture list looks kind to us (with no europe and the anfield rebuilding job meaning a great run of fixtures at the end; a tough start though).

In fact, if we get off to a good start (and today will have helped) I fancy us strongly to be in the race come May. Looking at the run in from April onwards, it's pretty much the easiest of the top 8.

So as long as we stay in the mix until then, we've got a great chance this year. (especially if we get in a better LB before September).

I was also surprised by his quickness. He closed down so quickly. Much more athletic than I had given him credit for.

He seems to play well against good competition. I think we could see him quite a lot in away games this year when we want to counter or as a high energy sub home and away.

The header is perfect, but the chip/cross from Markovic is just as good. Incredibly hard to not over hit that when moving full speed.

Markovic looks so much better when he moves inside. I have no problem his playing in a wide position, but has to be as a wide forward rather than a winger with freedom to cut in like Mane and Coutinho.
