In fact, Masher is one of the few players on the pitch who doesn't need to rely on the rest of the team to have a good game. His role is very clearly defined.

When analyzing his performances, I guess you have to try and determine where you draw the line between personal and team responsbility... it's not always a straightforward thing to do.
